Brilliant Service. Crashed my car and within 2 hours, someone was there to recover it. Friendly and even offered to drop me up the hospital. Definitely recommend.

My motorbike was recovered from the roadside after confusion over my insurance (I was covered, but database didn't show) They Damaged my bike in transit, by tightening straps so tight around my handlebars they bent screws...and at first refused to own up to the damage.

After I got confirmation from a garage, and took photos for them they still said "We want to see the bike"... never actually came to see it, just made me jump through hoops.

The whole ordeal to over 5 weeks, they would spend 3 days replying to emails, even when I responded in 30 mins. Making it very hard and tedious to get it repaired. My bike is my only form of transport and is my pride and joy. These people are a disgrace, and are happy to take your money, but not willing to help when they mess up.

I feel sorry if you are FORCED to deal with these people.

Terrible! Avoid at all costs!

Manchetts Burwell gave me a wrong diagnosis and wanted to charge me £380 to replace the fuel pump instead of fixing the real problem of resetting the immobiliser: a low cost problem.

If you want the full story:
My Clio failed to start after 5PM. Had to call Manchetts rescue through my insurance. They diagnosed an immobiliser faillure that they could not reset on site and advised me to send the car to Manchetts Burwell. They assured me it would cost nothing until I agreed how I wanted to proceed to fix my car.
Next morning I had a call from the Manchetts Burwell garage. What a surprise...it was not the immobilizer but the fuel pump that need to be replaced (£380 including a £55 diagnostic which I had not agreed to).
I called Manchetts Rescue to complain that I did not want to pay for a diagnostic that I did not give permission for. They were nice but because they are apparently not linked to Manchetts Burwell they could not do anything about the diagnostic charge. However, they offered me a free transfer to my trusted garage.
Next morning my trusted garage called me: my car was delivered to them with no fault and running fine... and they ran a diagnostic that revealed no fault with a history log empty... likely to have been deleted...
I still cannot believe it!!!

Rip off
I got the full service and MOT done today. They advertise £175 for service and MOT. Only one light bulb failed and total cost £300. Told the price was a joke. The 175 covers nothing not even labour. Challenged it, by magic £35 disappeared but still a rip off. As was on holidays I thought will not use garage by my work. Big mistake I will never repeat.

Just wanted to thank Manchetts for their very impressive service. Today I had problems with my car when it would not start, after trying several solutions to solve the problem I was advised by a mechanic to get the car towed, when I called Manchetts they advised me a technician may be able to solve the problem as they had experienced similar problems with cars like mine before. Within 30 minutes a helpful and friendly technician was with me and had the problem diagnosed and sorted within 10 minutes. Would defiantly recommend Manchetts to anyone. 5 star service.
