***MUMMY HACK***
I didn't know this at first and it is a saviour. The wee folded bits on the shoulders of baby grows allows you to slide the baby grow DOWN on the event of a poonami, saving babies face and hair from almost inevitable contamination 🤢🤢🤢☠☠â˜

For the wrigglers and squigglers out there.
Try turning baby away from you, with their head between your legs. It gives them less room to turn and roll and makes nappy changing sooooo much easier.

MUMMY & ME classes are based on some pretty pretty cold hard facts. It's time to realise that these are not okay. Don't just accept that you have a baby...and pelvic floor dysfunction.
...PM NOW FOR START DATES.
50% of all women experience bowel or bladder incontenance following childbirth ( Hagen at al, 2004)
52% of women who experience back pain during pregnancy go onto have pelvic floor dysfunction ( Pool-Goudzwaard et al, 2005)
66% of women who experience Diastasis recti have pelvic floor dysfunction ( Spritznagel et al, 2007)
45% will have urinary incontenance up to 7 years post partum (Wilson et al)
Training post birth after experiencing pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy using a specific stabilisation exercise programme, results showed significant reduction in pain and 50% reduction in disability.
A survey of 115 postnatal women found that after 8 weeks the gap between the rectus muscle will not change without intervention. (Coldron 2008).

Keeping yourself hydrated in this heat is hard enough but keeping bubba hydrated, well that's a whole different ball game.
Babies are notorious for suiting themselves even when mummy knows best so here's a few wee tip for these summer days.
...FIRST know what your looking for:
* Fontinelle or soft spot on top of the baby's head is a great gateway to their inner wellbeing. If this appears sunken or is more visible than usual your baby my be dehydrated. * general lack of energy, pale or if their skin appears dry (skin is slow to settle after a light pinch of the back of the hand) * In extreme cases vomiting, panting, rapid heart rate or loss of consciousness.
In bottle or breastfed babies 0-6 months.
It's easy to think they are getting all the fluid they need but even these wee one may need extra fluid on extremely warm days. Try adding cool boiled water to their bottle of milk or on its own. If you baby won't take a bottle, use a cleans sponge or facecloth soaked in cooled boiled water and let your little one suck on it.
6 months and weaning.
Try adding water to their mashed or pureed food. Offer them water often. If they are trick wee ones why not try a smidge of apple juice diluted in the water or even coconut water.

***Holiday Packing***
It's taken me this long to figure out what I need for a wee day trip let alone a week on another country. Here's a few tips;
...1. MAKE A LIST Choose a typical day and make a systematic list as you go, don't forget silly things like a spoon or nail clippers. You can always rationalise later.
2. ANTICIPATION & PREPARATION Babies change and develop quickly. Think about what may be on the horizon. For us it's teething so packing powders, Calpol and bonjela just incase.
3. PRE-ORDER Nappies and wipes can be heavy and bulky and take up valuable shoe space for mum. Equally, for bottle feeding mums, you can call ahead or go online and place an order with Boots and collect it at the airport. You need to plan ahead through, about 3 weeks prior to your flight. Although it's always good to remember, unless your going to the moon, you'll be able to pick stuff up in supermarkets.
4. CHEAP SUBSTITUTE If you have a snazzy, new pram, one of my mums suggested buying a cheap or second-hand pram. They take a bit of a beating by baggage handlers and, when they can cost as much as a wee car, it's worth a sacrificial substitute.
5. HANDWASH BIBS If your packing bibs and your going somewhere warm, I suggest packing just 3 bibs. 1 wearing, 1 washing, 1 drying. Even better are the wipable ones and best still...naked dinner time which is most likely when we are away.
6. SWEATY BABY Try putting a muslin down in the pram under baby. They are designed to be breathable and will absorb sweat away from delicate skin, reducing irritability.
Feel free to add any words of wisdom or wee tricks you may have in the comments.

See More"'INFORMED CHOICE"
Such a key phrase. I was so lucky that me and G worked out breastfeeding but through the new mum experience I have met countless mums who have battled with the midwife and themselves, dealing with resentment and guilt in equal measure. Not breastfeeding does not mean failing.
There is a huge amount of pressure on a mum to do everything 'right'. The question you should always ask after every dilemma is 'What's right for MY baby?'
...Breastfeeding is tough and demanding and sore and a lot of guess work.
Bottle feeding is requires routine, equipment, time, faff and can be expensive.
But...
In both cases your baby is fed, happy, healthy, gaining weight and bonding with you.
The mums I know who struggled with the decision will tell you, due to their struggle, until they made the choice they couldn't fully enjoy their wee one.
Ask 'what's best for MY baby? '
See MoreMy next venture hahahahaha
Today's class helped babies explore their surroundings, helping them feel and become aware of their wee bodies. For mums is was all about complex movements while controlling the pelvic floor. Quite a challenge.

...We had a little bit if fun today when I asked the girls to complete this sentence...
'You know your a real mum when....'
Feel free to post your answers below. Be brutal and help mums to be get a realistic expectation hahahaha!!!!
