  I have been going for years and the Place to eat is great. Daniel and Andrew run a great team and when it's possible, I go nowhere else. The new 5th floor is certainly very different. Miss my brown comfy chairs but the new one is certainly much brighter and spacious.

  Nice to visit the new cafe and a bit confusing at first but got the hang of it. The décor is very modern and a good array of hot and cold meals available. It's always busy.

  Really disappointed with their restaurant "The Place to Eat". I used to enjoy going here for Sunday brunch. The choice was large and the layout was spacious and relaxing.
  
  Unfortunately now the choice of food has been greatly reduced and place feels more like a street cafe. Just not worth the bother.

  This afternoon I had an Earl Gray tea and a scone which was excellent but the teaspoons were disgusting!
  I said to a member of staff (in a suit ) that the teaspoons were filthy and he said he would have them replaced. I checked on my way out after 20/30 minutes and they had not been replaced!
  I expect a far better standard of cleanliness from John Lewis.

  I love John Lewis. You get quality and customer service that is second to none. If I want a purchase I always check here first. They guarantee to beat prices on the high street, not only good for this, electrical items have at least two years warranty and sometimes even more.
  I must admit I have had a problem with two items that were faulty however after contacting them by phone I received replacements the next day. I bet you that will not happen In most cases. As for prices I got a television delivered via website and it was cheaper here to other places by almost half their price.
  They have a members card, free to get and you get a drink and cake normally every month. You also get invitations to members only events where there is drinks, etc. Includes member exclusives. The other main advantage is if you are anything like me you put receipts in "safe" places and forget where that safe place is, well log onto your card account and they are all saved there.
  I can not recommend them more strongly

  Improved a lot with all the construction works for the new shopping centre. The newly created 5th floor is lovely with the new and improved cafe. Limited tables and chairs but a member of staff said they will be expanding it soon. Customer service is great as always and you even get free 20 minutes parking in the Q car park across the road when picking up online orders.

  Demolition/Construction works. Unpleasant shopping. Bits of ceiling missing/poor lighting. Even trying just to have a simple cup of coffee is a palava. The restaurant seating area is improved but overall very poor experience. Some events please John Lewis! With giveaways to encourage shoppers. I usually avoid it despite being a fan for hundreds of years. 2/10.

  Wide range of good quality stock, great for gifts and household items, if a little expensive. Customer service is variable - although I have found staff very friendly and helpful today in the blinds department, service was poor. I was not offered assistance and when I approached staff with questions, I had limited response. I thus decided not to make a purchase. I will continue to use the store however, as generally my experience has been positive and I trust the quality of John Lewis products.

  Just had Stevie and Alex visit and they expertly fitted my integrated fridge. The guys were great, professional, clean and tidy. Highly recommended. John Lewis you have 2 great guys on your team.
