Just spent the weekend at Silverdale having been to Holgates bay view with our tourer 4 times last year. Disappointed with the touring set up , chaotic on Friday night arrival , no allocated pitches , no wardens helping just go and find a pitch, miles away from the facilities by the tent field, so ended up on a pitch between a couple of for sale statics miles away from the toilet block . Toilets old fashioned , showers on timer for about 5 seconds and really could do with an update . Seems the investment is going into the clubhouse etc which was fab. Pool the best we've been to at a site. Overall would probably go back but at a quieter time when you're not fighting for a handful of pitches ! Or stay in a static.

Best place to go swimming with children for miles, toddler loves, spotless, free soft play, good arcade, food OK but very reasonably priced, lovely parks in caravan site, close to beach. Always spend good few hours and return each week. Really impressed

Really nice caravan park but it's so expensive. Caravans allowed are up to 10 years old. After that you have to sell your caravan or move it to another caravan park with not age restriction, that is quite expensive (the transport)

Just returned from a weekend at Holgates Silverdale site, a first for us - party of 4 adults and one child staying in two camping Pods. Absolutely brilliant, didn't know what to expect but the Pods are fab. Plenty of room, comfy sofa bed, beautiful site. The site and the facilities are spotless. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, we had brought enough food to feed an army, the food smelt and looked delicious. The staff were always very polite and helpful. One thing I would suggest and this was only realised because on our day of departure the wind was very strong and whilst trying to pack the car the double doors on the Pod were open. On more than one occasion the wind quite forcibly slammed them shut. This could be quite dangerous and take fingers off especially if you have children with you who would not be aware of the danger. I would suggest that a catch be put on the front of the Pod and the outside of the doors so they can be secured. We will definitely return to the site and stay once again in the Pods. Thank you.
