Who am I?

Glen Belcher who lives in Nether Whitacre Near Coleshill a retired Police Officer with over 20 years experience as an advanced Police driver.

Why am I a driving instructor?
After many years investigating and supervising investigations of serious road traffic collisions, many involving newly qualified and young drivers, I decided to use what I had learnt to ensure new drivers taught by me would be as safe as possible when they started their new driving career. This is achieved by utilising many of the techniques I was taught as an advance Police driver to prevent new drivers making the common mistakes that lead to collisions.

What do you charge and what do I get?
I charge a standard amount per lesson which is currently £20. This is for a full hour.

When you wish to book your first lesson I will visit you and check your eyesight and driving licence before any payment is taken. If this is ok you can then pay for you first lesson and I will provide you with the following material which is free for you to keep:

• The official DSA book ; Driving the essential skills. (RRP £12.99)
• The AA book: a guide to a practical test. (RRP £5.99)
• The official Highway Code. (RRP £2.50
• Driving Test Success DVD – ROM. New 2013 edition which includes theory and hazard perception practice tests. (RRP £10.20)

• I will also provide a written outline of what subjects will be covered at what stage during your lessons along with a study guide.
