I saw a very able and caring lady GP Trainee for MRCGP, discussed my Consultant Nephrologist's letter suggesting a change of medication, which she agreed seemed appropriate, I also discussed a previous treatment for a long standing ailment, and she renewed the treatment. I left feeling very reassured and content, even my BP had not been 'too bad'. Eventually applied online as usual for repeat prescription, did not get the new Nephrologist suggested drug or the renewal treatment one, or a skin cream repeat. I protested that, and received a repeat of the BP drug just in time, but not the others. There is no MRCPG qualified doctor here permanently at this ACE run Surgery, keep moving his name from website to website. I moved to another ACE surgery, to find the MRCGP was not actually there. I am 86 and now at a non ACE run Surgery with permanent resident MRCGP Partner staff.
