This museum is amazing. They have packed in so much history and knowledge. I especially liked the natural history section and the pregnant ichthyosaur fossil. There is plenty here to suit all ages, we spent nearly 2 hours browsing through it all and even then I didn't finish! Admission for an adult is currently £5, which is worth every penny.
A small privately owned museum which houses a huge amount of locally found fossils. The story of fossil hunting in the area is told very well. Not a huge building but it's a great way to pass an hour or so and reasonably priced [summer 2017] Adult £5, Child £4, Family £16
We really enjoyed it here. So many different collections from the area and lots of really good information with each exhibit. It kept our kids (5 and 7) busy for two hours and we could have stayed longer if it wasn't closing time. There's a quiz for the kids to do as they go around, that encourages them to read and learn about the exhibits. Very friendly people and the gift shop is a level above your normal gist shop! You can buy lots of different fossils and dinosaur bone fragments/teeth. We have a very happy pair of dinosaur fans now!
Unfortunately there was not alot to see and was expensive for what it was. We were only in there for approx 30mins. Don't waste your money.
A real gem of a place. It really nice to visit an exhibit that has been created by an absolute passion and this such a place. Stuffed full to the rafters it's a place that you could probably visit 5 times and still find new things to see. The displays are laid out logically and some of the exhibits are breath taking. It such an understated place but inside is the mind of a dedicated paleontologist laid bear!
Really interesting and value for money. My 5 year old son enjoyed.
Very good! they've got some nice fossils, the owner helped us identify ours as well. The displays upstairs are hilarious as is 'what would dinosaurs look like today' exhibit! The cave bear skeleton is also awesome and well worth a look!
