  This school has come a long way. I was in the class that first occupied the new building at the lower campus (high school now?). I didn't enjoy the experience of the Chinese elite, you get excluded due to your financial background. And secondly, there was an overemphasis on picking up leaves (every single day). The Kuomintang exerted a lot of influence.
  The boys were mostly bullies with no instruction on modifying their behaviour, and Mrs Swami (class 3 teacher 1976) was the nastiest piece of work ever - a total sadist. I have the feeling that this has all changed for the better..I hope so.
