I’m writing this review while I’m currently staying here at the apartment. Was looking for an apartment before I arrived as I have my parents and two children. I think the apartment is good for a short stay but definitely not over 3 nights. There’s isn’t a proper restaurant or a great cafe or bar. You will really get bored easily after 2-3 days. However some of the staff are very friendly. I had to buy a Bula bus ticket to get the family out to other resorts to have lunches etc.

I would really like to give 3.5 stars because it isn't quite worth the full 4. The place is a perfect stopover until you catch the ferry to one of the outer islands and being so close the the marina and all it has to offer in regard to restaurants, bars and shopping but that can be covered in a day which leaves the lack of facilities a major downer.
The pool is quite small and the food is not that good. The apartments are very spacious and comfortable but that's not why you go to Fiji, i.e. To stay in a room.
The staff, however, are good.
So, if planning a long stay in Denaru, look elsewhere but if short stay I would stay here due to its walking distance to the marina & facilities

Staff is excellent! My mom has a hard time with stairs so as soon as ground floor apartment came available the offered it to us. Great rooms, bathroom off each, kitchen, and location is close to the shopping. Not on the beach but we just walked up the road to sofitel.

Good place.
Pool is great, however the pool cafe is really bad. Went there twice and would not go again. I would reccomend Cafe O across the road at the Palms apartments. (Went there everyday for breakfast and once for lunch after we discovered it.)
Internet is choppy, and we could only get about 2 poeple online at any one time.
Overalll room was alright. Worked as a mediocre place to stay, but required some upkeep, especially with an ant situation we had in our room.
Service was excellent, everyone was cheerful and happy to help.
Location was also great, about five minutes from the port, and umberllas are provided if it is raining.

My wife and two young kids experienced a nightmare flight to get from NZ to Fiji (eight hour delay and basically a whole day lost) and we arrived at 2am. Needless to say, both under 3 year olds and us were not in very good moods.

The guy in the office immediately put us at ease and his friendliness and helpful attitude made our first impressions great! We had some heavy gear and he instead (despite clearly not seeming that well) carrying the majority to our room!

The room? We had a two level place which reminded me of my parent's Taupo timeshare. Very tidy and amenities to keep anyone happy. TV (for the kids) and internet were of good quality and both floors had a lovely deck looking onto the gold course and pool area.

The pool area was nice enough. A food bar was there but the prices seemed a little steep? Perhaps I am not used to the Fijian dollar value yet? The pool itself was just right for the humidity of the day. Nice shallow area for the kids and a deep half for the adults and for when the kiddies get a little confident.

The kid-friendly nature of this place was clear, and it seemed everyone staying there was a family.

The close proximity of the shops/marina was a bonus. The wife and daughter went to have their nails painted, leaving my son and I time to play on the iPads and have a siesta. Nice! The huge range of shops and restaurants ensures that there will be something for everyone. We're about to head out for Thai tonight.

Another night and we are off to Mana Island, but given some of the reviews I have read, I almost wouldn't mind staying on at this place had we not paid for everything up front.
