Should not have gone here at all. Food was Meh. But the worst part was when it came to billing. I did check if they accept card when I ordered. But when they were billing, they said they can't use the machine because someone had kept something inside the drawer and locked it . I asked if I could pay AUD. The cool response was you have to pay dollar for dollar. The stout woman who seems to be running the show looked at me nonchalantly and said walk to the gas station withdraw cash and pay us. Without waiting for a reaction she walked inside. The other thin girl looked helpless.
Considering that it was your mistake Some humane gestures such as accepting AUD with reasonble conversion rate or saying sorry (so what if I'm not white ) or sending someone with you till the ATM machine would go a long way. If I was the lady I would have let my customer eat for free and not hassled him.
Getting a taxi back to the airport was tough and had to walk a long way on scorching sun.
Do not go here if you don't have a taxi waiting for you , if you aren't white and if you are expecting some courtesy.response / report this review -

Not sure what the hype for this place is. We were excited when we saw the nice decor and menu but the food was a big disappointment. My "substantial" salad was far from substantial- a couple of leaves, eggplant and three small pieces of chicken (for $20 one can get so much more food elsewhere) and my friends pasta was bland and drenched in oil. A waitress 'borrowed' the paper I was reading to give to another customer. Won't be returning.

Best part of having our flight home cancelled was enjoying a leisurely breakfast here. Airy, spacious, relaxed. Attentive and friendly service. Child friendly. Great music and atmosphere. The food is far above what you normally find - local flavours, lots of choice, great quality. Well worth a visit.

We love having our little family lunch or dinner in Taste Fiji especially with tasty delicious food , or even grabbing a cup of coffee with yummy pastries and warm friendly service from the staffs..We strongly recommend this unique place to anyone who loves indulge delicious food and friendly service..

We went there by chance and chance was luck. The service is great - both impeccably attentive and friendly and the food is way above your normal Fiji restaurant - but still a true reflection of local cuisine. Splendid.

Coffee was great! However I had a spicy milk tart which was not spicy at all. The Brownie was also quite dry. My friends ordered pancakes and the big breakfast, the serving was huge and they loved it. Great atmosphere.
