  We had a lovely visit to the Nerewa Methodist Church. The minister Michaele (I think that's right) was very friendly to our kids and welcoming.
  
  My wife was in tears within about 10 minutes, as while the congregation were obviously not well off by western standards, they just love God and sing like there's no tomorrow. The choir singing, was just so beautiful.
  
  Even though the service was in Fijian, the tunes of the hymns were extremely familiar and we found that we could read along phonetically and sing to tunes we already knew.
  
  A good reality check for our kids (we're from Melbourne in Australia) was that almost no-one had a Bible and in addition, almost no-one had a hymnbook - and it wasn't as if there was a church set either! So anyone who had one had purchased it - and the ones that we saw were very well read and therefore dog eared.
  
  Later on in the week, we went to the main street of Nadi (pronounced Nandi BTW) and found that hymnbooks and bibles were available from a newsagent there, so we ordered some in and gave them to the church, so that they had some for future overseas guests.
  
  We hope you get a chance to visit this beautiful community and hopefully use the hymnbooks and bibles we sourced! :)
