Brilliant place. Originally I had booked to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying 7. The staff are so kind and incredibly helpful and the food was delicious with plenty to go around. The beds were also comfy and really clean. Can't fault this place.

Very basic, but perfect for a few days island get away. Only has electric between 6pm and 6am. Cash only island. Phillipe is a ladies man, but a good laugh and has a wide skill set ( fire dancing, local crafts and medicine, tour guide, events host etc). Nothing much to do on the island it's self. Go with the intention of chilling out and switching off from the world.

We were staying at Tropic of Capricorn in Nadi and the receptionist recommended this place to us. Mana Lagoon is a hostel with *very* basic facilities. We paid for a private room with meals. There were bedbugs in the mattress and the bathroom is dirty. Sink tap was not working. There's no drinking water here so bring your own from the mainland. Food was pretty good. There's no power between 6am-6pm (not a big deal if you are out doing activities). There's no free WiFi either, FJD 7 for an hour. We had a tourist SIM and mobile data.

The staff here are so lovely and helpful. Some of the nicest people I've ever met. Staff arrange trips and activities for guests. You can hire diving and snorkelling gear. Having meals outside with an ocean view is magical and the meals were pretty good. You can hire kayaks from a shop near by. If you are a budget traveller then this is the only place in the island that is affordable. Would recommend staying here for about two nights.

    Island - top
Food - very basic, little and strict schedule
Accommodation - stayed in a room, first one had loads of cockroaches and was super dark and noisy. We were moved after my girlfriend was crying in the morning. Second room was ok, clean. Water tap dripping generally noisy.
    Staff - OK
If you go bring drinking water and snacks. Both available but expensive.

Phillip and everyone were truly brilliant. Phillip made sure the questions were answered and everyone knew about Fiji. He had excursions planned for those who wanted and those who wanted to stay and relax, that was fine. Every evening he had something for entertainment. I truly enjoyed the stay. They want everyone to enjoy themselves, with what they have to work with. Please take note of that, it is an island. They truly make the experience pleasant.
    Thank you.

At first don't care about my nickname.
    Ok where to start ...
    - breakfast with just 2 slices of toast without anything ( at least they had margarine)
    - in total the meals, which are included, are bad, really small, always cold and tastes like from last week
    - the toilets, showers and bathrooms in general are dirty and stacked. Furthermore they have no water most of the time, u can't even wash your hands or use the toilets, the reason why the whole hostel has an unique flavor.
    - the manager, who introduced himself as Philippe tries from the beginning of your arrival to sell trips and stuff in a really aggressive way, he doesn't understand that people comes to this Island to relax and refresh, it seems like he just want to get cash. Further he's trying so badly to hook up every girl, which is sometimes funny, but often just childish. We went with him also to castaway ( i wanted to see this island really) and end up just lost, doing nothing and came back after spending just 1 hour there
    - right know I'm back from this hostel and went to the next hospital, because I'm ill and have to throw up all the time.
    Thank u mana lagoon

I had a Great Time on Mana Island in General Because i Met amazing People. But the Mana Lagoon Hostel was the biggest Fail. Yes Its Cheap.... But i would really recommend You to Book the other Hostel Ratu Kini for a few more Dollars.
Mana lagoon was Dirty, the Food was Not good ( i became ill Because of it) and the stuff , especially One guy was rude unfriendly and Always Wanted your Money.
The One guy also Tried to Hook up with any Girl there and was very very Moody. One Time he was pissed of, the other Time he was laughing. He was Very unfriendly and always Wanted to sell Trips to You.

Guys! Don't Go there, i was at the Hospital Right now and the doctor gave Me Medicine. The Food made Me ill.

Chef Ravi's cooking is the tastiest in Mana.
Went there on 3rd nite and returned every nite for next 7 days. Many fresh seafood & off-the-menu options. Dining under a thatched roof cabana at the water's edge is unbeatable for the senses.

This place is the worst ive been in my 5 years of backpacking around the world. There are bed bugs everywhere, the meal plan you get its really basic, and with no nutritional value, dinner was alright, but breakfast and lunch, horrible. No water pressure, sometimes not even enough to take a shower, definitely not for flushing the toilet so they get disgusting..or to wash your hands.

The one thing i can say its good, would be some of the staff, felipe, he always invented activities and tried to make a better place for everyone.

Let's be fair. Yes it is a basic hostel. The beds are hard to sleep on and I was hungry sometimes. But, it was awesome. As part of my trip I took the boot to the island together with a friend of my. They welcome you with open arms and you will have the time of your life. Don't forget to bring cash, no ATM or card payments! Please visit!

The island is amazing. The beach, the sea, sunset ... nothing to complain. But this place spoil it to me a little. Owner is an Indian wily guy. For example he will tel you to don't drink local water coz it is not good for you but he will serve the same water with meals. He will tell you should buy a little overpriced bottled water. If you are on a budget and don't want to drink local water bring your pack from Nadi. I was told the restaurant here it's good. Especially fish for a dinner. I believe you can find better place on the island.

The fact that I had my camera stolen while here and still had an amazing time is a testament to the beauty of the island. Staff seem a little jaded, but I suppose catering to British and Australian backpackers all day every day will do that to you.

The most beautiful part of Fiji! my entire trip turned from being ordinary and amazing! There's a local fisherman named Moses on the island. He will give you a beautiful sunset boat ride as well as take you fishing for a very very resizable price! This hostel is ran by villagers who love their land and every kind of people coming to visit. Extremely loving people!

Limited electricity. Some people get bedbugs. But good food and nice stuff. No drinking water on island.
