The equipment is professional the rest, like the management, not. I have done a number of dives over a number of years and this dive centre is not one of the best really. A few big issues, one of them was the boat - too small and not suitable. Only one boat to serve different diving groups going back and forth. In general not well organised and not for people who have experience and expectations.
One of more expensive dive shops. At low tide, they will drive you around the cove where you carry your gear into the water and hoist onto the boat. After they drop you into the water, the leave you and go back to shore to get another dive group. They bring them out and drop them and then “Look” for you. Each time, our dive master had to inflate a noodle to signal the boat to come get us. Bobbing in the water, no boat, 20 minutes, 3 of four divers throwing up from motion sickness. Then climb a short ladder back on the boat. Go back to shore so they can bring another dive group out.
Not really safe. Nice crew, but I would go elsewhere. Only has boat diving and expect rougher conditions on the water using one boat to juggle 2 dive groups. Not for beginners.
I absolutely loved my introduction to diving dive when I was in Fiji, Gary was the most patient and helpful instructor. All the best on your new adventures guys xxx
Cath and Gary, all the very best in your next adventure after moving on from Diveaway Fiji, I have loved seeing your posts on fb hopefully if you move back home in the future we can catch up for a yarn.
