must visit place in fiji, it is so beautiful that words can't explain it, staff is so polite esp. nelson, their boss is bit strange and strict towards staff,
What a disappointment. We were told is was a 45min boat ride turned out to be 1.5hrs on a very uncomfortable aluminium boat, we were then told that the boat that usually would take us to cloud 9 in 45min was not available today. Well news flash, we paying customers need to be informed! It was very over crowded and not enough beds or seats for all on board to sit and relax on. Pizza is over rated and expensive from $28+ and a 45min wait and drinks $15+ most at $30. No DJ like they informed us there would be, instead some boring music playing in the background. Only plus was the beautiful clear water we swam in. Won't waste my time going again.
If the water were anymore blue it would be photoshopped.
This is just a lovely place to chill, listen to the dj, eat some woodfired pizza and sip on a cocktail (beer).
You can jump off the top of the place, which by the way is a floating island/pontoon.
Worth getting there early if possible and moving quickly when you do so you can grab your choice of seat as they disappear quickly. There are enough for all but it's pretty tight.
Incredible place. 10/10 would recommend. The staff are amazing, the view is amazing, the woodfired pizzas are INCREDIBLE, and the cocktails are tasty! Bring some extra money with ya because the drinks are a tad pricey, but worth it. I also recommend taking your own snorkelling gear with ya, as there is plenty to see out there. However they do also have rentals. And definitely jump off the top! ❤️
Very cool spot. Went here on a Monday after a surf and it was cool. Good vibe. Good drinks.
Awesome.
A great day trip to do nothing but relax, swim, drink, eat and listen to dj'd music.
If you get bored doing nothing, go somewhere else.
Good if you can get of your boat first as the best seats go fast.
Superb. We absolutely loved this place. The location was stunning and the people are super sweet. We really enjoyed the cocktails and dipping in and out of the clear blue water. Wonderful combination of chilled and house music that created a really nice atmosphere. Snorkelling was a nice touch and wood fired pizza on offer. I didn't want to leave!!
Great experience, and I didn't even drink a drop. Pizzas were nice and the snorkeling was good, I brought a pair of goggles and no finns, I was fine, my girlfriend struggled a bit in the current but she's not a confident swimmer. There is always a manned boat there anyway, but I never saw anyone get into difficuilty swimming. Music was good, it was not loud as some of the other posts suggestted, but maybe they reduced it based on the reviews. Great day!
Great place and location. Make sure you bring your own snorkelling gear
Cloud 9 is a great idea and regardless of reviews it's a unquie experience that is affordable. Take a tonne of good sunblock, you'll need it. Sadely the bar is unstaffed and poorly operated on a process sense, if your going out there to load up, your going to be waiting at the bar alot. I would recommend heavily tipping one of the boys and ask if he can check on you for more drinks now and then, then you can chill more. It's a luck of a draw place reagrding weather, we got a hot sunny day with little wind but once you are out there near the break it can get choppy but it's still fun and a great spot to lax. I wouldn't recommend young kids, as the water can get swift and there is no life guards. It really is more of a adult get away. We also had the Marguerita pizza from the wood fire which was a solid 5/10 (top tip, when your walking outside with it.. tilt it to face the wind else you'll be feeding the fish. Pizza selections are the only food but it's all you need. Cool spot boat ride was very fun.. another tip.. sit on the side opposite of the wind so you don't get ocean spray for 40mins :) SUNBLOCK!
Was very impressed with the location, food and drinks. The pizza was great very good. The only negative would be the dance music. Why on earth would you play dance music on a relaxing pontoon in the middle of the ocean? We went on a Monday and could hear the place before we could see it. If I had known we were going to have to sit through 4 hours of doof doof music I probably would not have gone. Besides the music it was a great day out
Overpriced but you have usually $60 voucher so good for everything. The really recommend experience in Fiji. Maybe have a opportunity to spend more time here and really deep enjoy relax or party or both together and spend more money.
I loved the staff and the place. And the water was amazing.
This is a leisure deck with a bar and a pizza oven floating out in a reef. It is popular and easy to get to. The atmosphere is fun and the water is clear. I found the ocean currents were stronger than I expected and can easily catch you off guard if you are not paying attention.
First off the back, this place is overhyped. But even then it's a cool experience and if you're there with friends and in good weather you'll have a great time. The staff are friendly and want to make sure everyone has a good time. The drinks are pretty expensive but what do you expect? They also didn't make use pay anything upon arriving, but other people have had to do a $60 dollar payment which is then credited as money for food and drinks.
Waste of money and very disappointing!
They had waaayyy too many people on the premises at once which meant service was slow and there wasn't enough chairs or snorkel gear to go around. We had to leave early at 1.30pm due to a private function but we still payed full price?? And they don't take cash on board so you had to buy vouchers which are non refundable if you don't spend the whole thing. The water sport equipment includes a few snorkels and flippers.. It was a money making scam that I would recommend people go to if they like being crammed in a tin can burning in the sun. Ps. Cloud 9 is advertised as having calm waters which isn't necessarily the case as it is in the middle of the ocean.
We caught the excitor over on the first available trip. When we arrived early Cloud9 was already completely full, with what we believed to be backpackers from a nearby island. There was no room to sit (if you were lucky enough to get one it would have made it an awesome day) all the snorkel gear was already all taken, so that just left sitting like sardines in the middle of the ocean with beautiful surroundings that we couldn't explore.
Great experience, more suited to a young crowd, however I am 45 and loved it. drinks very pricey, snorkelling gear not the best however did the Job. recommend get there early (before 9am) so you can grab a day bed. pick the tour boat that delivers you early. arive after lunch and you are on bar stools, standing or stalking a spot to lay down. Great tunes, relaxing environment just plain good fun, worth a visit if you are into that type of thing.
Fantastic experience! Great snorkelling 50m from Cloud 9, great jumping off the top level and awesome spot to just sit back and have a beer. Need to keep a careful eye on the kids as it can be quite dangerous for younger ones. Great fun place and well worth it.
Wow - you should experience this place on your trip to Fiji - nice Ibiza style bar, floating in the middle of seemingly nowhere. Go with some friends for some good times, good cocktails, wood fired pizza, amongst a few jumps and dips in the water, a spot of snorkelling and a bit of lazing around or sunbaking. We broadcasted "Facebook Live" with their free Wifi to the envy of all our friends!
TIP: There are various cruises/tours that go here, but if you book directly and get the first boat out there in the morning you are guaranteed to be the first group to get the best spots/sunbeds as this place can get very busy.
Worst experience ever. The owner received a call advising that a storm was heading his way. he chose not to tell us as he did not want to loose the money. Never again. Also his staff worked so very hard but no matter what they tried ut did not gelp. The owner just stood there watching and on his boat. The crazy thing is he is Australian as well as where we all. No shelter to hold 100 people. But thank God the men on the speed boat gave us an amazing job as well as keeping everyone safe and happy. But Cloud 9 what a ripoff
Incomparable experience. A little piece of paradise floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Pizza served there is huge and cheap (usually included when you buy a transportation package).
Also really nice drinks (employees didn't know how to do the math and I am pretty sure I had more than I was supposed to).
When crowded it is frustrating because the place is all covered and you won't find a place to tan.
As we arrived I heard our guide mention "they're Americans" to the guy that helped us board, so obviously I was immediately skeptical. Then the bartender made a joke, and made us feel welcome. My skepticism subsided when he let me know the men's restroom was upstairs. The only thing upstairs besides some comfy daybeds in the shade, was a couple stairs to jump off the side into the ocean. He had me at that point, fun guy, made the wife feel welcome.
The snorkeling was fantastic, and very close to the boat.
We arranged to stay for four hours, I believe the standard is two. They were making some woodfire pizza, which looked and smelled amazing, but we didn't try any as we had a large breakfast prior.
The bar prices, I believe were more than reasonable. We drank the entire time, mostly Fiji Gold and Fiji Bitter, a few cocktails and I don't believe we exceeded our transfer fare.
Only regret, is that there was a second trip from our resort and we didn't take advantage.
