Beer selection is very good and includes many Czech choices. A variety of hard liquor is also available. I guess the same applies to wines, too. Late night bar food is also available, e.g. German style sausage plates. The place is popular among travellers, in good and bad. It's location is excellent next to the Helsinki main railway station, Eliel square bus terminal and a popular taxi stand. Vltava is also open daily, at least until midnight, and is always a sure choice if you want a beer or two.
The doorboy had personal issues which I had no idea what.
I didn't have my ID on me and he said I looked a lot like 20.year old so he'll not let me in, I even told him I'm a regular customer and some of the bartenders knows me he started being rude to me even when I said it's cool I'll leave.
Good selection of Czech beers and some others as well.
Pretty good lunch options usually. They have small but nice and fresh salad table where you can start while waiting for your lunch.
Good Czech kitchen, nice service, bar with decent beers selection.
Food is simple but tasty, lot of nice calories.
Conveniently located at the railway and metro station. Rather not a place to go with kids.
Large establishment, with three floors. A pub-like atmosphere with several bars. A decent selection of beers, ciders and hard liqueurs are served by well versed and friendly staff.
With extremely good transport options available, a good choice.
Vltava is totally ok but I wouldn't consider it anything great.
If you have some extra time to spend in Helsinki Vltava is a good choice
Expensive, but if one wants Chech-like not-too-healthy food and a nice selection of beers, well worth trying out.
Nice restaurant near the central train station. Good beer, good food, nice staff. It's not cheap, but in Helsinki nothing is Recommended!
Decent place for lunch / dinner. Good beverages.
