Consept seems good on paper, but it basically boils down to you waiting in line instead of sitting at your table. Dunno about the food, still waiting (and standing).
UPDATE: The food is hot garbage. Avoid this place at all costs.
I have come here numerous amount of times with my wife, its one our favourite spots in central Helsinki on special occasions or for a random dinner night out. Who says pine apples do not go on pizza’s? Thank you Chef LOL. Very clean and professional service. First timers be aware to hold on to the card that is given to you at the beginning by the till, because you will get charged extra for losing your card (its a tab card meaning for paying the final bill). Upstairs lovely views. Family Friendly. Attracts all age crowd. Weekends can be very busy. If you are two to three people you might get seated quickly max 10 minutes waiting time, but for large groups make sure to reserve regardless of the day and time. Friendly chefs, and staff. Warm food for a bit over prices, but unique experience in its own ways. Well done.
It used to be quite ok but the quality has decreased a lot lately. The order concept makes me feel rushy all the time and the cooks are not always helpful to help me pick the ingredients I want. The foods are very greasy and most of the time tasteless. Seeing foods being prepared in front of me can get me into thinking that they are fresh. But if the foods themselves are not good, then no trick is enough to bring me back.
Freshly made pasta right in front of your eyes by professionals that know what they're doing. The portions are perfectly sized but the price could be a bit lower.
I've been here 2 times, first time for pizza, second time for risotto and dessert. They have quite interesting concept where you choose your food at the kitchen and the chef would make it right there. It's nice to see your food being made. They also ask for your preference when adding certain ingredients.
The staffs are friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable. Interior design is pretty nice and green, with a lot of plants.
For dessert, we had their panna cotta and chocolate cake, both were very nice and rich.
I was not a big fan of the risotto, though it's just my own taste preference.
Bartender didn't seem to know how to make gin and tonic.
Vapiano serves delicious pasta and pizzas. It is very popular and is always full of people. Quality of food is excellent. Ambiance is very good. Staff is friendly and cheerful. Highly recommended for Asians who are looking for spicy food around Helsinki central station.
Vapiano is simply an amazing restaurant! You get to see the chefs make your food at the counter, and the dishes are more than delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and it is a really special experience that you can pick your own basil for your dish at the table. You might stand in line for a while, but it's definitely worth it.
Pizzas are as good as in Vapiano source country - in Germany. Service is on excellent level, languages are : Finnish, Estonian and English. Visitors are mostly young and nice people.
Very interesting place for me. When I came to Helsinki for business trip, I try to get there! Pizza, pasta and so on - everything is delicious. Near the railway station - it is a plus for me! Recommended
Everything is good. The food is quite fresh and you can choose ingredients while your pasta is cooked. They have some offers for wine and dessert for reasonable prices!
Excellent food and generally a nice place with decent service. The concept is also interesting. Can be a bit crowded and slow, though.
The concept gives you a sense of familiarity where your travel takes you; from order taking, ambience, payment to selections of pasta to choose from. Popular with the younger crowd. Waiting time can be long but watching the cooks perform fills the wait. Polite service throughout. Love the liberal sprinkling of greens on my seafood pasta.
