Not a 4 star hotel, most definitely a 3 star:
- no complimentary water, mini bar with rip off prices and even at hotel's lobby water costs less
- dark room with little light available
- close to no wardrobe
- leaking bathroom utilities
On the other note the personnel was very kind and the location is good if don't only need to reach city centre, but also Northern part of the city.
We have stayed here twice now and it’s our go-to hotel in Helsinki. The rooms are small, but good. The price is normally great value. The breakfast has lots of choice including a good gluten free section. The staff are good too and the bar is a nice place to grab a drink.
We were very happy with our stay here. For whatever reason, we ended up both with two €5 vouchers for each night. So I was able to choose some random candy/nuts as a snack every morning and still have plenty of vouchers for the restaurant hotel.
Our room was kept clean. The breakfast buffet was fresh every morning and had lots of variety. The hotel is located half a block from most of the tram lines, so it is very easy to get anywhere. There are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, and grocery stores within a couple blocks. There is also an open air market just across the street from the tram stop.
The only aspect that we were not as happy with was the decor and room size. The decor was nothing especially Scandinavian, and was more fussy than I like. The room did have a full size tub, but not enough shelving/drawers for two people to put away clothing for a week. Reducing the size of the bench and using that space for some wardrobe shelving would have been a better use of space. It also would have been nice to have a fan, since even though the windows open there is not a whole lot of air flow. There is no air conditioning and I prefer 68F or less at night, so I struggled with the nighttime temperature even though the outside temperature was 55-65F.
I do highly recommend that you stay here.

All staff were well accommodating and friendly. Room was good for 3 people.
The room is clean and has some charm, since the pillows are two hearts I feel very comfortable. Breakfast is in the cellar and is plenty. Staff is very helpful.
The hotel is quite new. Staff members are friendly. Value for money.
The hotel also offers complimentary buffet breakfast. There is a wide selection of food, not the typical jam and bread continental breakfast.
This is one of the worlds best hotels if u ask me. Lovely staff that always have a huge smile and helpful in all kind of questions! ♥
Very nice Hotel in Helsinki. The rooms are with lots of darker colours but i liked it. Really great breakfast there!!
Nice hotel with in walking distance of the city centre clean modern rooms and a good breakfast.
The hotel is really good value. It has everything you need for a stay in Helsinki. It's located right next to the market hall and has a shop on site. The rooms are well proportioned and bathrooms really nice. I slept well aside from being woken up twice by the couple next door having sex. Thankfully for me, but sadly for them, it lasted barely a minute each time.
Just that little bit more romantic and cozy than the other hotels I've spent time at in Helsinki.
The room was spacious and clean, bathroom with shower doors and soap, both shampoo and shower gel.
Hotel staff very friendly and well dressed. They where very helpful and was even kind enough to giftwrap a present for my daughter.
The decoration of creative and funny. The bedroom with dark coloured walls was not so cosy though. The reception staff is the best ever - friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is ok and the eating area is in a basement. The hotel is central and in a quiet street.
