  Visited twice during our travel trip. We love the salmon and glogi drink - best to have during winter. Do be expected to wait minimum 20mins for your salmon as they grill upon order. But do enjoy the lappish cheese and complimentary cookies. Yums

  Let me explain how this restaurant operated.
  You come in, have seats, then wait for taking orders. Well, as you can see from the images, they cook the salmon fish fillet on the big stove, batch by batch. Each batch would take about 30 mins. So if the waiter does not come to your table and takes the order, probably because they do not have fish to serve. And you can see it; there is no fish on fire. So please do not get angry and it does have a lot of people waiting for their fish. They cut the fish at another kitchen/place outside the small log cabin and bring back the fish fillet. After seasoned with salt, the fish fillets were put on the grill and then put on the stove. You can have coffee and dessert first while smelling the frying fish (Salmon have a lot of fat). Of course, we were taking the photos. We ordered the coffee, cake, and fish. All tasted good. But my standard was pushed a bit high those days in Finland.

  Hidden gem in the mega-commercial Santa Claus Village. The cafe is a teepee with only 5 tables that serves salmon grilled over the open fire in the middle of the teepee. Food/service was fast and the salmon was excellent. An awesome Finnish experience.

  I had never eaten fish at all. It so happened that hunger I found where there was no choice - only salmon! We had to make order .. Now I'm a fan of this place, this fish and this cafe. It turns out, I like to fish, just had not eaten a delicious cooked!

  Salmon meat is super juicy, skin is crispy. Loved it! The Leipäjuusto with Cloudberry jelly was yum too. Worth it!
