The food was very good. For starters I had pike tartar and it was excellent. The Black Angus I had for main course was well prepared and the potato cake and the veggies were really tasty. It's a quiet place in a historic building and based on this experience I can warmly recommend this restaurant.

Food disappointing in that price range. Was expecting more fine tuned dishes.

I went there for a lunch on a weekday, 12.5e for the warm lunch with soup, salad, dessert, and tea/coffee - sounds good right? I chose lamb meatloaf with roast potatoes for my mains (the other choice was salmon burger, which was basically a filet of salmon stuck in a bun).
The artichoke soup was an unappetising gloopy yellow. It was awfully salty and I could taste nothing else, definitely no artichokes! The salad bar had limp lettuce, overcooked and salty pasta salad, canned artichokes but decent cherry tomatoes. When my mains arrived, my plate had a slice of meatloaf dumped on two tiny potatoes, covered in a sticky brown substance (supposedly mushroom sauce). Basil pesto, the kind that comes in a jar with the oil separated out, surrounded the meatloaf - which sadly tasted of just meat, with no other flavors. I know that Finnish food isn't particularly exciting, but this was beyond bland. That mains dish was a travesty of food, aesthetically and taste-wise!
The dessert was a bowl of over-sweet oatmeal with pieces of apples - and my lunch mates' faces were a great indicator that the dessert tasted just like it looked-- pretty awful. I had coffee instead, which wasn't bad.
All in all, a terrible meal - saved only by the company I had. Please spend your money elsewhere (like the cafes in the fortress!). I'm generally not so unkind in my reviews, and if my meal had had a single good thing, I'd have been nicer!
