Great place, good coffee and original old school Finnish donuts. Wonderful view from the tower. One of only real sights of Tampere.

This tiny cafe is set at the base of a circa 1920 observation tower. It is well worth it to pay the 2 euros to climb up and enjoy the view on a clear day. The Cafe says they serve the world's best donuts. They were a bit sweet for our taste, as they are coated in sugar crystals, but they certainly give the cider donuts from Cider Hollow in VT a run for the championship.

You absolutely must try the cardamom doughnuts sold in the cafe below! Best when they're fresh.

The tower has a beautiful view of the region, and the surrounding park is just beautiful for walking.

Very rustic and eclectic place. Was told by a local that it is a very Tampere place to visit! Apparently it's the tallest (highest) esker in the world! Who knew?

THE DONUTS (MUNKKIS)! My goodness, they're good! You'll likely have to wait (and wait) as the tiny cafe can't accommodate the demand always, but it IS WORTH IT - WAIT CALMLY! AND THEN DIE AND GO TO DONUT HEAVEN.
