Italian-style restaurant in the the town center, between the market square and bus station. Inside you find nicely decorated restaurant. From the you doing pizzas, burgers and more traditional dishes, too. There is also children's menu. The restaurant is popular and reservation is necessary. Service was good and everything ran smoothly without unnecessary waiting, partly due to enough number of service staff, I guess.

Excellent food and vibrant service. Have brought people all over the world here and everyone has said the quality of the food, service and truly great Finnish culture with a nice Italian vibe is unmatched in Hämeenlinna. Popino holds up well when comparing it to mid-range restaurants, but at the same time has competitive prices. And decent wines!

Don't know about their pizzas (a lot of people seem to like them), but 3 dishes we tried were really bad.

I've got a tomato soup which was apparently heated up and made from left overs :), and one of the worst burgers I've tried in my life - literally tasteless and dry patty (I requested medium), loads of mayonnaise and some old salad.

My wife was a bit luckier than me with a lamb (at least it had some character), but still it wasn't worth 29.- euros we paid for that only dish.

Stay away if you enjoy food. One star for the service which was fine.

The pizza is very bad. No chesee , no salsa poor and very expensive. You better get any other pizza on town. Or get a piece of bread and little Cheese and you got better pizza than here.
