It's a good railway station - the second one in Helsinki and all the trains stop here. Also lots of different shops, kiosks and restaurants. It is now under construction until 2019.

An efficient train station, currently in remodelling, but still functioning as it should. A stop for all trains, removing the need to visit Helsinki central station for a change of direction or for saving 10 minutes (5 to Helsinki, 5 from Helsinki) if running late.

It's always busy and there's major reconstruction work underway but it's easy to find your travel information and departure point.

Despite active major construction effort to build new giant shopping mall around the station, it's still easy place to exchange trains, and many smaller businesses are still open. The station itself is starting to show it's age though, and even if efforts have been made to minimize disturbance due to construction work, it still hinders movement and causes place to look less clean.
