We stayed here for 4 nights in October. The staff is very friendly but there are a few things left to be desired.
For one, the wifi is absolutely horrible. It barely worked on my phone and would not allow my laptop to connect to it at all. This made getting work done extremely difficult.
Second, the rooms are nice but pretty small for the price. I had the standard room and I didn't even get a coffee / tea tray which I was quite disappointed by. That seems to be standard in every hotel I have ever stayed it.
The housekeeping was also missing some stuff. They clear the trash and replace towels and make up the bed but they didn't clear the plates from the room service I ordered and that was extremely odd to me. There also was no signs for the door provided when we checked in and no menu in English for the room service. Not a huge thing but something I definitely noticed.
Breakfast was included and that was nice. They stop serving at 930am and if you are there past 9, there really isn't much left to eat.
There is a restaurant in the main lobby that is delicious but it is not cheap. There are tons of local restaurants in the area that are fantastic so I would recommend getting out to one of those.
The location of the hotel is the best part. It is right in the middle of the market square. There is tons of shops, restaurants and coffee houses around so you can really find anything you need in the area.
Overall the stay was nice, there were just some things that made it a 3 star stay for me.response / report this review -

A fine hotel in the absolute center of Kuopio. Direct access to the famous Carlson department store. Shop clothes, perfumes, shoes and other things. Also have a look at beautiful Finnish glass and ceramic design from world famous Iittala and Arabia.

I strongly suggest. They dont have a very rich breakfast but the ambiance, quality and their marvellous restaurant are outstanding! The city itself is peaceful and the hotel is like the city itself. I recommend that beautiful place

Jouduin vaihtamaan huonetta viallisen vuotavan lavuaariputken vuoksi mikä oli jo rikki huoneeseen tultaessa. Uuden huoneen kylpyhuoneen lattialta liiskasin ison sokeritoukan. Onneksi jäi viimeiseksi.
Huoneet eivät olleet kovin siistejä, mutta hotellin sijainti hyvä, aamupala ok ja ystävällinen henkilökunta aamupalalla. Kiitos siitä!response / report this review -

Jouduimme vaihtamaan yöllä huonetta, koska porealtaassa oli joku vika ja vesi ei pysynyt siellä. Saimme tilalle sviitin, jossa oli sauna. Valitettavasti emme ole tyytyväisiä ratkaisuun, koska nimenomaan otimme alkuperäisen huoneen sen takia, koska siinä oli se poreallas. Saunassa voimme käydä kotonakin. Olemme yrittäjä pariskunta ja aika on meillä tosi kortilla ja kun kerrankin saimme yhteisen hetken niin se oli pilalla. En suosittele kellekkään tätä hotellia.

Hotelli hyvätasoinen. Miinus saapumisohjeista, joissa ei kerrottu, että saapuessa ei oikeastaan muuta mahdollisuutta pysäköidä lähistölle, kuin ajaa auto toriparkkiin. Toriparkki oli maksullinen (10e)

Palvelu oli hyvä. Aamupalalla gluteenittomien valikoima varsinkin leivissä täysin onneton! Normaali leipiä oli 3 tai 4 sorttia ja riisipiirakat päälle, mutta gluteenittomia ainoastaan kuivaa valmisleipää!!!! Hommatkaa vaikka niitä riisipiirakoita myös gluteenittomia! Muuten oli hieno paikka, ja tosiaan palvelu respassa pelasi hyvin! Hyvä sijainti!
