The hotel room was in ok condition. Minor wear out could be noticed. General appearence was a bit shabby. The pool area and both restaurants are located in the main building which is in better shape than the hotel building. The pool area is better suited for adults than children as there are no water slides etc. There is a small children's pool though.

Awful experience, dirty everywhere arround,in hotel buiding entrance and mostly in the bathroom of the room 140 euros night we stayed( fortunately) one night, chaos in breakfast ( way of cleaning tables is through arround dirty of the table), sensation that everything is abandoned and nobody cares, even in reception.

Didn't visit the Spa. Just needed a place to sleep. Having the parking garage, reception and rooms in separate buildings was weird and confusing. They did let me have breakfast a bit early because I needed to check-out early.

The place is located near the beautiful Näsijärvi shore. It isn't very near to the main transport hubs in Tampere, so you need to get a taxi there, unless you're by car.

The room is nice if you get the lake view. We stayed in a suite in one of the topmost floors and we had our own sauna and complimentary bathropes. I understood that the normal rooms didn't carry either.

The spa area isn't really all too great. There are three small jacuzzis which are mostly occupied. The rest of the area is a big swimming pool which seems to be popular for families with kids. Not really a romantic or intimate place to go with your partner.

The restaurant was nice, if a bit expensive. The food was tasty and there certainly was enough after a long day of touring the city. The restaurant is located in the center of the building surrounded by walls on each side. They also serve the breakfast there so you're missing out on a lot of the scenery the location has to offer. If it's your first time in Tampere, I'd suggest you go out to eat. Breakfast is continental all you can eat and as a plus they have dough and waffel irons where you can make your own, fresh waffels. That was a big plus as well as a surprise.

Stayed here for work. Nice location with good sized rooms. Breakfasts are lovely but we weren't able to use the spa facilities due the opening times corresponding with our work times. The hotel is attached to a Powerhouse Gym which we can use and that is open 24hrs. It is a little intimidating if visiting off peak - especially if you don't speak Finnish - but everyone there is friendly.

    Would definitely stay there again.

    Fawlty Towers Tampere!

I have been here 3 times on buisness trips, each time oppupying a suite in the tower behind the hotel building, and this was my 3rd and also final time. The quality has seen a steep decline since my last visit . Today, it is more or less like the British comedy series - only not funny.

Good things: The spa and sauna, and good WiFi. And the beds are quite decent. Also, a great view over the lake.

Bad things: Pretty much everything else.Breakfast and lunch was of Hostel quality, and NOT what you'd expect from an establishment, claiming to be a good hotel. I have never before been in a "suite" with no kettle and powder coffee/teabags to start the day. The absence of ice machines was at least compensated by the friendly staff at the in-house pizza restaurant - whose pizzas were appalingly salty and greasy. And quality of the food offered equals that of the effort put into cleaning the rooms.

Room cleaning was a joke - no refuelling of soap dispensers, no actual cleaning, just making the beds. This, I could have done myself. To top things off, a refund was not possible, when I was called to the north of Finland, and had to negociate the cancelling of two further nights. No dice.

All in all: A nice hotel, if you are used to Hostels and camping sites. For a professional traveller, avoid at all costs, sleep in your car and eat at McDonalds instead. It will be cleaner, and the food will be tastier.
