Cosy atmosphere in old village.
Gorgeous arts village. Lovely shops, lovely people, lovely art and design, beautiful walking trails. The whole place is absolutely worth exploring for a full day or two.
Lots of lovely shops and an excellent restaurant (along with some smaller cafes). Also has a good sized play area for children.
Awesome lovely place, you can find old style markets there, beautiful river in the middle small town with a few very nice cafe. There Is also few museums.
Quiet place on weekdays. Busy on weekends. It is nice to have a coffee or beer and see some shops.
Lovely surroundings and loads of local businesses. Definitely worth a visit.
Exotic place, nice place to visit, specially in summer time.
An amazing place to visit and see the rich history of Fiskars and to imagine life back when Finland was basically Swedish. My favorite part is the different buildings which are mostly from quite different years and how well some of the oldest have lasted. It must have something to do with those slag bricks. I bet they are super tough. Have a peek in the shops but be prepared to encounter high pricetags. Also there is nowhere to get cash in the village itself. I went specifically to browse a local food market which was a little bit hampered because of course small mobile vendors can't be expected to take cards. Although many do! The permanent shops and restaurants are no problem with either form of payment. It seems to get busy on the weekends but there are several parking lots to choose from. Don't be afraid to pass the first one and drive a little closer.
Apart from understanding how Fiskars came to be, there's not much to get out of the place. You can have a coffee and see different shops shops selling artistic wares. The Fiskars shop gives no better deal than elsewhere.
This place is very quaint. Lots of nice old or old style buildings and a lovely creek running through. There is a nature trail nearby which I walked. On the other hand, it was too expensive for me personally. I think it's catered just to tourists with money, so I didn't even eat here. Just looked around, walked the nature trail, and then headed out to get something to eat at a more reasonable price. Nature trail itself is quite nice, though some parts of it are actual dirt roads with cars going by kicking up dust!
