Beautiful cosy collection of buildings which used to be an old school before it was converted into a hotel. Delicious home cooked meals, though a limited range in the buffet due to the remoteness of the location. Fantastic range of winter activities and exceptional Northern light viewings.
Awesome place
Excellent food! The local schnitzel and squeeky cheese with the chef's twist are great!
It was an awesome resort. We had a log cabin to ourselves and had so much fun with the winter activities. We were so closely located to the frozen lake that we only had to walk 30 steps to the jetty to catch the aurora. The landscape make it easy for us to view the aurora. This was also the place where we caught the most beautiful aurora ever.
We also had the most awesome guides ever.
Incredible place, so remote, so no light pollution if you walk just 400m from the hotel. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly Food good, rooms basic, but everything you need, all cold weather gear provided. Fantastic 5 day break, organized by Aurora Zone. Check em out! 👍
We have been there from 6th to 10th february 2013. It's an awesome place to stay. The hotel has rooms, apartments and cabines. I shared an apartments with 5 friends with a private sauna, kitchen, 3 double rooms (single or double beds). Cosy, free tea all day long. The main building has rooms and a restaurant with a buffet. the food is good. The hotel is situated in a little village,on the banks of the Lake Inari where we have been able to watch gorgeous auroras. The hotel rents winter clothes (and it was well welcomed: up to -30C during the 4 days I have been there).
