Good food all-round. The main meal a bit too small for my taste, but then again I eat big portions. Luckily I went the hole stint with appetizer, main course and dessert, so I got full enough.
Bill and quality of the food was in balance. Service was good, but this Tuesday evening the restaurant was far from packed.response / report this review -

Wellafter reading the reviews I thought I would be in for a long wait because I got the last table in the dining areabusy night! Had a simple margarita that was icy and tasty. Ordered hot chicken wings that came very quickly but were floating in a hot sauce soupwings were a bit tough but I would give this appetiser a pass. I didn't have long to wait for the mainpork ribs. All I can say is that somewhere in Finland there is a hive of bees that are going hungry!! These things were covered in a honey based sauce that over powered the natural taste of the pork.which is sweet anywayit doesn't need a huge wad of honey on it. I would have to give this main a failF. Maybe I ordered badlyin any case the service was good and the drinks coldif the chef could ease up on the honey it could have been a very passable meal.

Whether you want a hassle free quick bite to eat or spend a fun evening with friends or family this is your place to go! At least if you have a taste for south western American cuisine. Positively large dishes! I do confess this is probably my single most visited restaurant in Helsinki whenever I'm in town.

Colorado has served large portions in Helsinki since 1995. This is its third location in the town and the best so far; two terraces, nice bar area and two dining saloons.
On weekends it is almost impossible to get a table without reservation. On the menu you can find a broad selections of dishes. Naturally the place has excellent burgers, however, the steak selection is one of the best in Helsinki and also salmon is worth of trying. During the last two years the staff has put all the effort to prepare as high quality food as possible. Everything is prepared in the restaurant kitchen from the onion rings to French fries. In this they have done incredible job!
Sometimes on busy nights the service might feel little bit slow, however, this has more to due with sky high Finnish social costs than bad management. This place attracts all kind of people. Surprisingly during week days there are quit many customers in business suits. Also the amount of women groups in this kind of place might be a surprise to someone. As one of the co-founders of the place is the most known movie producer in Finland, the place has always attracted local celebrities. Naturally the place is very popular among the embassy people. Colorado has not invested for kids, however, at least in my family my two years old son loves it! They don’t have kid’s menu, however, they prepare kids portions on request.response / report this review
