Great Finnish Aviation museum with super fine arrangements and great collection of plans and historical facts. The museum is divided into different sections and includes many aspects of the Finnish Air Force including special operations and capabilities from WW2.

As an asian, i use to read all about the planes of europe in books and got the chance to see them all here, care of a good friend from Jyvaskyla. You'll see the history of the Finnish air force and the evolution of the different planes that they used. It was an eye opener to be able to see actual crashed planes on display to realized how aweful wars are. And how heroic men defend Finland from aggressors. I highly recommend this to youngsters so they may appreciate their country more.

Very interesting collection of planes and related equipment. Enjoyed a possibility to sit in fighter plane cockpits.

Amazing display of Finnish aviation history, only downside is there is a limited amount of English reading material.

Finland has a rich and varied aviation history. This museum has a wide array of aircraft reflecting the diversity of the Finnish air force fleet. Aircraft from the USA, Russia, UK, Sweden, France, Germany and perhaps more! The exhibitions bring the aircraft to life and give an in depth look into the Finnish contributions during WW2 and the cold war. A great way to spend an afternoon for the whole family!

A very impressive aircraft collection. A Brewster Buffalo, Hurricane, DH.60 Moth, BF-109G, some Migs. There are numerous engines, some AA equipment, a radar station diorama and hosted exhibitions. An excellent place to visit and take some photos.

Very nice place to visit, great arranged place about finish air forces. Not too much long history, much of planes after WW2, texts also in english! Reachable by bus from city centre.

Good place for aviation enthusiasts and also for children, there's a cockpit where kids can feel like a pilot. At least our 3y kid loved it.
