You are initially given a short history of the mine. Then are ushered into an area with lots of stone and you have 15 to 20mins (it is timed), to start digging for amethyst crystals. It is very hard to find one and you are not allowed to take anything that does not fit inside your clenched fist. If you want, you will have to pay for it, which is 'negotiable'. They will also try to sell you shareholder certificates of the mine, where you will be entitled to free visits to the mine and are able to dig more amethyst crystals? can't really remember. The hilltop views are nice though. But in my opinion it is not worth it.

Staff puts amethys stones in to the mine for turists to find BUT THEY ARE FAR TOO SMALL! So I think it is not worth for quite expencive entrance fee!
