What an amazing experience at the 7 Fells Hostel! Tinja is a super host, hospitable, friendly, helpful and the studio cabin we booked for, is the cherry on the cake in the amazing Lapland.
7 Fells Hostels is located in a hilltop in Akaslompolo, about 2-3 hours drive NW from Rovaniemi. The roads to get there are not the best, quite narrow and from Nov to March probably icy. The lake near the Hostel is something to experience, when we visited it was all frozen! great photos there. There are sky slopes 5 mins by car with a great view of the 7 Fells. The Hostel is a cozy place, decorated with anything and everything, common kitchen with fireplace. We have not visited the dormitory since we booked a studio. This is one of the 3 studios detached from the main Hostel. The Studio is super comfy, with all the necessity and very warm! We reached temperature of -14 C and we did not feel a goosebump! I strongly recommend the Studio for those couple who wish some intimacy, and do not hesitate to ask Tinja and her team for info and recommendations. We were lucky to see the northern lights the last night, Solar radiation was 7 kp and clear sky. You do not need any special excursions, just get out of your studio and set your camera on a tripod for the photoshoot of a lifetime. Enjoy!response / report this review -

This cozy hostel is a great place to relax after hours of hiking and discovering Lapland. It's charming, clean and everything is made to make you feel comfortable with a nice fireplace and sauna. Also the staff is very friendly, helpful and can give many tips concerning the region. My girlfriend and I had a really great time and I really recommend this hostel for everyone traveling to the North of Finland.

Beautiful place surrounded by nature just minutes from the center of Akaslompolo.
We (4p) stayed here during a winter tour of Lapland (jan2017).
The hostel was warm anc cozy, in the main room there was (there is) a big fireplace, a couple of sofà and some tables, nice place where make new friends.
Our room was simple as other hostels, but the custom details makes the difference between this place and other hostels.
The owner was been super-friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the first moment.
There are lots of nice spots where wait and see the Northern Lights.response / report this review -

We (2p) stopped here during our motorcycle trip to Nordkapp end of July. It is an absolutely fantastic and cosy place. Very big cottage with private kitchen and bathroom. Local people are also very nice. If you need to dry (rain) your gear and a warm bed/shower before leaving the next day, stop here.

It's a beautiful, charming, lovely, peaceful amd friendly place to stay. I even was so lucky to see the Northern Lights just a few steps away.

This is a hidden gem! Booked through AirBnB. Journey would need a 2 hour bus ride from Rovaniemi or Kittilä Airport. This area is away from the tourist spots. Awesome hospitality services from the staffs and the environment around it is just so peaceful and quiet. Clean crisp air with snow covered trees. It is magical! Hostel facilities are adequate. I booked a room with a balcony so you can just lie back and daydream, watching the snow fell while snuggling warm in bed. It feels homely. We get to use the kitchen and cook our meals. Best of all, it is one of the best place where you get to see the Northern Lights! I would definitely come back again!
