Excelent vegan buffet. Great taste, variety, and super cheap authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The deco could use some lightening up, but the food's great.

The worst dirty hotel that I been in Ethiopia! The door of the room was almost broken, the glass of the window was a half of it, super noisy and extremely old hotel.

The hotel is historical and would recommend having a meal in the restaurant. But the rooms are really dirty and not worth the amount you will pay.

The hotel in itself is charming, it’s and old colonial building frozen in time. You walk into its reception area with its booth and it’s wooden stairs and it’s like you were in a Humphrey Bogart movie. The dining area and piano cafe are beautiful, it’s better to come here for the popular vegan buffet than to stay in as the rooms in the old building are dusty, old and dirty.

Terrible place to stay. The rooms are really gross and humid. Don't bother asking for a shower: you'll only get cold water anyways. By far the worst hotel I've seen for that price in Ethiopia.

This hotel has seen better days. We visited in 2013 and a film was shot here about Mr. Mandelo, who recently passed away. He visited the hotel in richer days. By now the hotel is still visited by many businessman amd well-to-do tourists, but ipthe rooms are definitely not up to standards anymore and maintenemace seems to be a problem all around the hotel. Still, it is a very nice place to stay and get a feel of the colonial times (although Ethiopia was never colonized).

Place is out dated and you can tell its not up to standard that being said its the Hotel to visit above all others just for the sheer history. Opened during the reign of king Menelik by his wife empress titu I believe it was the first hotel to ever be opened in Ethiopia.

Hôtel sympathique, les chambres qui sont dans le bâtiment arrière sont basiques mais propres, moustiquaires et ventilo sont compris. certaines chambres ont la SDB séparée.
Le restaurant est typique et bon, de plus l'hôtel est sécurisé .
