A very nice hotel that seems to be well managed, and were things, including wi-fi just work. Well maintained, with nice, well equipped rooms where air-condition is available if you need it. The restaurant has a wide selection of food from international cuisines. For what you get, the price-level is very reasonable.

The place is all about looks. I come to dire every 4 months and the service is terrible and besides the indian food the rest is below average. It used to be good but it's lost it's way.

A three star at best. The service is the only thing 5 star. Sometimes hot water and elevator didn't work. Internet at the business center was slow but to my surprize i had to come back after a day of leaving because i couldn't find anything better in the city. For Dire Dawa its 5 star but don't get your hopes up thinking its 4-5 star. I stayed at the most expensive room too.

I stayed at the hotel for two days during a business trip to Dire Dawa. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the receptionists who have given us great first impression of the Hotel. We have also met the General Manager who was very humble and hospitable. He has surprised us by upgrading our rooms to spacious suites. The staffs were also friendly and cooperative. They made every effort to maintain our comfort at all times. The food at the restaurant was great. I would definitely choose this hotel in my next visit!

My wife and me stayed and enjoyed the Ethiopian Christmas week in Samrat Hotel. We enjoyed the hospitality of ALL Personnel, They were POLITE; ATTENT; FRIENDLY; HELPFULL AND HONEST.

Friendly staff. The good is good, the weather is hot, rooms are clean, it has a pool as well. Now going back to the friendly staff, there is one thing that will always make you smile and that's the people. They are really humble people, they are really good people and I know if I could acquire some of their characters, it will make me a better person :)
