PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL - THE CAVE IS CURRENTLY UNDER NO OFFICIAL PROTECTION - EDUCATE LOCALS ABOUT PRESERVING THE PAINTINGS

The cave features beautiful rock art paintings and according to so-far uncovered evidence, has been inhabited between 70 000 to 15 000 years ago.

Entrance fee of 50 ETB (as of April 2016) can be paid and official guides can be arranged at the Culture and Tourism Bureau at the Dire Dawa town hall.
