It is a good place to stay, clean and within walking distance of the main downtown area and the castle. The WiFi works really well given the challenges in the technological infrastructure if the country. The rooms need to be better maintained though because for a relatively new hotel there a few broken bits here and there. In addition a website would be nice for those coming from abroad since you have to call to make a reservation. The check out time is at 10:00 am so bear that in mind. I paid 300birr per night for a twin room. See the pictures posted by others; they are pretty accurate.

Located not far from the Pizza in Gondar, this is one of the best value hotels we stayed at in Ethiopia on our 3 weeks north circuit tour!
For little under 15$ (300 birr), we had a king size bed, a hot shower (with a hot water tank, so even if there is a power cut you still might have hot water) a sitting area, and wifi in the room (4th floor for us), which is all you need in a great price, sadly as far as i can recall there is no laundry service in the hotel.
Restaurants are located under, in front and to the sides of the hotel. It seems that the hotel works with Simian Image Tour company if you ask about tours. We were happy with the Tour company and hotel.

Een rustig hotel op loopafstand van het centrum, goedkoop maar met prima ingerichte kamers. Voor wie zich geen zorgen maakt om scheefhangende, maar goed werkende wastafels of een tikje harde matrassen (vind ik ideaal!) een goede keus. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit-verhouding.
