Nice view .. but had difficulty eating.. all good was local food.. pizza took possibly more than 30 min .. need more clean bathrooms ..

Great day, atmosphere and quality meal. We entered with a 300-birr package including a three-course meal, half an hour kayak and 25% discount on spa treatments. Totally worth it!

I absolutely loved it here. I was there for a team retreat and its a good place to reflect. It provides the perfect getaway from Addis and its only an hour drive.

Beautiful recreation and spa hotel by the lake in Bishoftu, 45 min from Addis Abeba. Outstanding interiorur and guests roms, and really good service. Great spa /massage. Two restaurants with excellent food.
Really a place to stay for a couple of days or as a stopover in Addis when flying Ethiopian Airlines.

A nice place to enjoy & relax away from Addis rush.
Go for the package for around 400 ETB including massage session in their nice & clean spa, a meal in the wonderful resturand with lake view & a kayak ride.

Great day trip from Addis. Menu at lodge is pretty good and the massage was legit and well done in a clean, relaxing atmosphere. Views on the trip are decent and picture worthy. Extremely serene and pretty lodge self. Can't go wrong. And of course Habesha beer :)

The worst service we have ever got!

I went with my family (my wife and three sons) to spend weekend we hired family room (two rooms) for USD 240 /night.
Compound
The location and the compound is good including the room setup.
Room
One of the both rooms was badly smelling and the smell was very strong to stay in the bed room as well.
There is complementary water and tea bags to prepare tea free of charge. However, the electric socket was not working.
Restaurant
We went to the restaurant for dinner. There were only two tables occupied with three customers each. The waiters were disorganized and no one was willing to attend and direct us where to seat. After a while we had to call one of the waiters to give us seat for five of us and she took us to one of the corners. Next to our table, there were plates, bottles and glasses used by other customers prior to our arrival. Until we left, the restaurant no one had collected the plates and cleaned the table. On the other side of our seat, the table was not cleaned (may be for days) and the dust completely changed the color of the table.
The waiter gave us two menus for five of us to share and read. As there was no much choice on the menu, we asked her if there is another menu she brought another menu for pizza and burger. We give our order and had to wait for 50 minutes to get spaghetti, grilled fish and cheese burger. All orders were not prepared as per our request and the taste was disgusting. It was so oily and we did not eat. We called the manager and informed our disappointment. He apologizes and offered 50 percent price reduction but we insisted to pay full and advised to improve their service.
Internet
The internet was working when we checked in and it was disconnected after few minutes. We called to the reception for support and one person promised us to resolve the problem. Despite our several calls, no one was picking our calls and no internet connection restored until we left.
TV channel,
There were only Ethiopian television channels and other 3 movie channels. There were no news channels at least from Arab sat that can be obtained free of charge.
Sauna and steam
We booked for sauna and steam for the following morning at 8:00 AM. When we arrive at the sauna and steam room, there was no attendant in place and both sauna and steam was not working. After waiting for 15 min, one person came and informed us that there is no service due to main power interruption.
Cinema
Up on our reservation and check in, we were informed that there is cinema with different movies. However, when we requested the front desk team later, they informed us that the cinema is not operational due to some technical problem.
In general, the Kuriftu Debre Zeit was established in very good site. But it seems it is neglected by the management and the service is extremely disappointing. We will not recommend customers to consider it until the management looked at all the problem and improve the service.

As members we come here very often. The layout, atmosphere and view are beautiful and comforting. Rooms and grounds are clean.

The food, however, has always been mediocre at best. From the buffet I can somewhat understand it but ordering a-la-carte is no better. Truly feels like the kitchen puts little to no effort and passion into their work product. When called out on it they hide behind the ever present flock of serving staff that surround you. We had guests from out of country who cited, without malice, that Kuriftu was their least favourite meal in their two week stay in and about Addis Ababa.

With the new disjoint addition to the resort effort, attention and occupants are diluted between the two. Staff going home early. Bar running out of ice without interest in getting more. Though common throughout Ethiopia, the gift shop boasts Visa Accepted stickers but the clerks insist on cash.

Nothing warrant the pretentious pricing other than the fact that Adulala is worse.

Will be back. Holding on to hope that it turns around to how it once was.

I had lunch with my family at this beautiful resort. The Buffet was delicious and priced fairly. The staffs were friendly, caring and courteous; from the security guys to the top management.

Best place to get away from the city and chill with your family or friends. Great service, great price and such a great view. There was a boat ride and a buffet which was great. All in all, everything was amazing. Definitely deserves a 5 star.
