  Gindabarat High school (Mana Barumsaa Gindabarat), is located in the West Shawaa Zone of Oromiyaa regional state of Ethiopia. It is located at about 185 km from the capital of Ethiopia, Finfinnee (Addis Ababa). It was established around the year 1930 and has produced many multi professional scholars since then. The people of Gindabarat mainly rely on agriculture for living. In spite of lack of basic infrastructures and educational facilities, students of Gindabarat are very dedicated to their studies and always give high value for education. As a result, there are many professionals who serve in different offices both at home and abroad.
  I was a high school student at this school from 1998-2002. As a high school student, I learnt not only academic course but also social life at this school. I always remember my school years as sweet, happy and successful. We were more than 100 students in a class with few teachers. Most of the teacher were not willing to go there and teach because of the lack of facilities. There was no telephone service, transportation, clean water, electricity and others. There was even shortage of text books. I always have special thanks for my teachers who shared me their knowledge regardless of all the inconveniences they were in. They were all awesome. Now on days, the Gindabart district is a little bitter than what it was 10 years ago. People are seeing some glimpse of hope for change even though some problems are still there.
  I always have a special place in my heart for this school and always consider it my foundation and corner stone to my future.
