The development wing of EAGC shares the great commission of the church, and works through integrating the churches mission with the needs of poor and dying destitute. Our Aid and development work started in the year 2000, after the end of the war between Ethiopia and Eretria. The church felt the pain of destitute and started to assist and pray for poor communities who had been seriously affected by country economy which was more worsen by the war.

Ever since its establishment, it has been reaching lives and changing the living condition of poorest of poor communities. It’s captivating to see children who were starving and fainting at school now flourishing. It was a blessing that the lord so merciful has also provided for the material and spiritual needs of more than 50,000 HIV victims. Now our youth and women went beyond developing resilience to cope with their living expenses. By the favor of God our service to the society is growing dramatically. Over the past three years, the numbers of our projects have grown from 2 to 7. The lord is blessing our work and his favor and grace is always with us. Our project works has been broadcasted in government media to disseminate best practices in areas of transparency, building team effort, creativity, endurance and leadership.

EAGC-ADA, after having reviewed its ten years undertakings, developed a strategic plan for the year2013-2017. Based on these we are now pursuing to enhance our capacity, create access to basic needs of destitute, improve environmental sanitation, improve child sponsorship, improve socioeconomic status of poor communities through holistic empowerment, and last but not list strengthen global partnership.
