Very nice room. Comes with flat tv, hot water and free wifi (slow... But this is africa).
Breakfast and lunch are basic, don't expect much.

I was so grateful to have Ethiopian Airlines provide a place to relax during my stay in Addis Ababa! The staff at the Beacon were extremely helpful--calls for meals & airport transport and they even made it possible for me to maximize my stay in the city by connecting a fellow traveler & I to an excellent taxi driver who took us around to destinations around the city. Although there was a miscommunication around the time of their coffee ceremony & I missed the experience, the staff here speaks excellent English & is ready to help in any way they can.

I stayed here for 1 day during my transit. The Hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly. The owner(s) were present at the hotel throughout the day and very helpful. They helped me with planning few short trips around the capital city as well as arranging cabs for me.

Most of the hotels have drop off and pick up service, but I missed the last bus I should have taken. At the end of the evening, I was running late from attending a cultural dining experience at a local restaurant, specifically for tourists, they owners dropped me to the airport themselves.

I had my lunch at the hotel and the food was good as well.

A bit far from the airport, good friendly service on arrival, staff speak excellent English, rooms clean and neat. Breakfast skimpy with small variety.

The lunch and dinner was buffet, but one had the option of ordering from a menu at a higher cost. The veggie soup was absolutely divine and I had mentioned it to one of the Management and on check out I was presented with a complimentary bowl whilst waiting to be shuttled to the airport.

Originally I have 3 stars - but changed my mind to the above excellent service provided. Our shuttle was delayed due to a heavy traffic jam, so one of the brothers took 3 of us in his private vehicle to the airport so that we could make it in time. Service above the norm and for that and the other small things, feel its worthy of 5 stars

Terrible, terrible place. No A/C in the rooms no water pressure, no amenities. Place feels like a prison, located in a really bad area. Staff was trying to be helpful but this place is just too bad. The food was awful, not fresh no veriaty and tasted really bad. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there

    EXCELLENT HOTEL!
The Beacon Hotel was such a lovely surprise! We were greeting by a warm and helpful staff who spoke English fluently. This was very helpful as communication can be challenging in parts of Africa. The building was very modern, classy but not cold. They had a full bar, TV and restaurant that served all types of yummy food. Our room was extremely spacious and had huge windows that overlooked the entire city. It was quite stunning! And I cannot stress that the customer service was exquisite. If I ever go back to Ethiopia, I will most certainly return to this hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My deepest thanks to the brothers who run the Beacon Hotel for going above and beyond to provide transportation, translation, and unbelievable support during a very trying ordeal. We were randomly placed at the Beacon by our airline and stranded without luggage for a few days before we were able to get on another flight out. I feel so lucky that we ended up at this hotel and in the competent care of such hospitable hosts -- whom I fondly refer to as the Beacon Brothers. They proficiently handled all types of international guests and made us feel safe and cared for. It's a stylish hotel with a bar, restaurant (good food -- including homemade pasta) plus spacious, clean rooms and excellent customer service by the entire staff. We were very impressed and forever grateful. I highly recommend the Beacon Hotel.

One of the best hotels in Addis Ababa no doubt! It was home away from home. The service was exemplary, wonderful dishes and friendly workers.
Being from another country, the hotel made us feel at home by even surprising us with home dishes!! The rooms are amazing... everyone is so friendly and happy!!!

If you are looking for a peaceful, warm, GOOD FOOD (i insist), comfortable, wonderful service, and affordable rates, then Beacon will not disappoint!

    Trust me!
