Great place to visit because most of the animals are rescued either from people who can no longer look after them or did not realise what they were taking on and also from smugglers, they need all the support they can get plus you can interact with some of the animal's
This is a great little zoo with enough to do for a couple of hours. Off the tourist trail and not your typical zoo - which makes it special. Be prepared for haphazard paths and a few disrepairs here or there. It's affordable and what makes it special, is the up close and hands on with some of the animals. Would recommend.
One of the best zoo's we have been to.
The fact you can interact we the animal's is truly special the kids loved it!
Word of advice watch out for the little blue parakeet he's the patrón and a vicious sod
but very cute!
Enjoy.
If you have toddlers then this is the perfect zoo for you. So many opportunities to interact with the animals and the staff are all lovely. We have a 2 and 3 year old and they walked and didn't tire and were quite excitable. We held a snake, lemur, and an eagle. It certainly kept them interested. Tip. Park at the first act park at the top.
Nice zoo where you can interact with animals. It's really cool that you can hold a honey beer or lemur. Staff very friendly and good and caring with animals, so no need to worry about animal welfare. Zoo is not very big, but big enough and with interesting collection of unusual animals and birds. Highly recommended for children who love animals, but also for adults! Where else can you cuddle an ocelot pup?
What a lovely weekend zoo! Seemed friendly and well run, with happy looking animals. Perfect size for taking round our toddler. Refreshingly uncommercial. Small cafe near the entrance. We loved the lemurs! When we went, the route from the carpark to the entrance what up a makeshift path, which wasn't easy with a buggy - you can drop people off at the bottom of a tarmaced path.
Prices: 15€ per adult and 10€ per child
Opening times: Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Parking availability is very good, costing 1€ for your stay there
The zoo has many species and generally big enclosures and well set-out to try and replicate their habitats in nature
Many species of monkeys, exotic birds, all species you would expect from a zoo (except Zebras, Elephants and Giraffes) + a few extras also like several Flamingos and two Porcupines
Generally the enclosures are well kept and the animals look happy, interacting with each other and with the zoo visitors, one is able to hold a little lemur and also a big eagle on your arm, all at no extra charge which is nice
Also has a small "cafeteria" at the beginning (which you come back to at the end). We didn't visit but looking at what everyone had it appeared to be just snacks - drinks, ice creams, crisps, sweets - not actual food/meals
Overall a pleasant zoo you could spend 1-3 hours in depending on if you rush it or spend your time interacting with each animal, and very good value for money really, great for individuals, couples, families
Very different and not too big. You can see some animals free and hold them in your hands.
Cute animals that you can interact with. Baby tiger, baby lynx and much more. Love it.
A nice zoo, it's basically one big footpath through it and there is something for everybody, a few small shows but the nicest thing is if you are on time, you can pet a lot of animals, go into some of the cages etc.
Was really nice to visit
