Food is bad. Wine is very average (we tried 6 different). Waiters are nice. Decoration is medium and seats are bad. They serve chicha in the restaurant very much for tourists from the gulf or bachelor party

The interior and ambience are a bit of a surprise. When you approach the place it doesn’t look very interesting but once you get inside the interiors are nice. Lots of dark velvet and dimmed light…
We arrived 10 minutes late for our booking but the table was not ready. This was for 9 o’clock… first seating. We were offered drinks at the bar while we waited. Didn´t have rose wine. Cava was flat but quickly replaced when mentioned to waitress. For our surprise these drinks were charged at the end but then removed from the bill when we questioned it with the waiter.
Service was generally efficient and our waiter was very friendly. There seemed to be lots of staff around which is always a good sign.
Food was very disappointing. The ceviche was fine and nicely presented but the mussels were few and lots of them were closed. They came in a sauce of onions and orange which for me didn’t work with the mussels. My main course was the rocket, parmesan cream and fresh mint ravioli which had a beautiful combination of flavors but was totally undercooked. My partner ordered the grilled squid with garlic praline. Only had about 20% of it as it was very tough and insipid leaving the food almost untouched. After a while a different waiter cleared the plate but didn’t ask if there was anything wrong with it. For dessert we were recommended the coulant de chocolate and the cheesecake. Two very “ordinary” desserts but we thought that Arola being a Michelin-starred chef would surprise us somehow…. He didn´t!!! We shared the coulant and it was just a very ordinary dessert from taste to presentation.
With an average bottle of wine and two extra glasses of cava the bill came to just under 60€ a head. If the food had been better it would’ve been a fair price but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
