It's beautiful Must see it! Just a reminder, you will pay around 12 euros to see it. But there is a ticket, for 15 euros that allow you to see all the city Roman monuments Best deal

There is a very well restored Romsn theatre here used for live performances. Also a circular amphitheatre almost all of which is very accessible to walk around. I thought €12 each person to enter is quite a lot to pay

Having visited Rome just before coming to Merida, I was not expecting to be blown away, but this truly is one of the best collections of Roman artifacts anywhere in the world. Plus you don't have to fight the hoards of tourists like you do in Rome. Make sure to plan enough time to really enjoy everything. Half a day is not enough

Worth visiting! Buy one of the tickets that allows you to visit all the historical places. They are not expensive and definitely worth it. The new city isn't worth visiting, so half a day should be enough to visit all the main roman sights.

Incredibly well preserved Roman ruins rivaling the ruins in Rome in their magnificence. Must see!

The most amazing Roman ruins I have seen in Spain. It really brings to life what the city and life must have been like at the time. The whole city is a Roman archeological museum!

What a spectacular piece of history. The biggest treat is the garden view.

A historical place to visit in Merida. The place is huge. I can just imagine how it must have been in the early days when this place was still functioning.
