Flights always delayed, waiting areas and WC very dirty and shops extremely expensive although they are called Duty free. ..
As I am a student who is studying abroad in Spain, I decided to go on one last final trip and make it big. My plan was to go to Italy, Greece, and Germany. I had all my flights and hostels booked. As I arrived at the airport the day of my trip they told me I could not get my boarding passes because the gate closed 5 min ago, even though the place still had an hour before it was leaving and they weren’t boarding yet. Must I add there was nothing that said how early we had to be there. I have been to Sevilla airport many times in the past three months and never had a problem. Everyone at the Sevilla airport were no help at all. They didn’t even try to help me find another flight. This means that I had to cancel my whole trip and not get a refund, which I spend a lot of money on. I am very disappointed in how none of the staff were helpful and profoundly rude. Yes, I am a women from America, but I have traveled a lot and I no what I’m doing.
Security is very old fashioned. 3 places to eat that were not too pricey. A bit of a wait to get through passport control. No major. complaints.
Shocking airport. Unhelpful staff, outdated infrastructure, slow service, overpriced shops with a small selection. Sour end to an otherwise lovely trip.
Apparently the taxis don't show up unless they feel like it? There was a line of maybe 50 people and no taxis were in sight. A large group showed up after maybe 10 minutes and picked up 10 people and left everyone else in the dust. Oh yeah, the airport stinks and is a total joke of an international airport. Pricey, slow, and not equipped for modern day travellers in the slightest. Where is the public transportation system that can come out here? Where are plug ins to charge my phone, computer, tablet?
If I didn't know Spanish I would be very lost in this airport, as nothing is in any other language. And if I didn't know that flying to Malaga and taxing a bus up here costs half the price and is also faster, then I would be getting ripped off lol
Absolutely useless. Unbelievable queues for passport control (1 gate open for 2 planes) and no mention of the luggage belt that bags were going to. Terrible airport. Fly anywhere else
Not the best airport in Europe. Slow and inefficient security check. Very outdated facilities. Seville Airport needs a very important upgrade if the city wants to be turistically competitive.
Over priced food and shops. Generally not very clean, and toilets particularly dirty. Nowhere comfortable to wait. On the plus side security and passport control seemed fairly efficient when I visited.
airport bus to city centre is completely under capacity at peak arrival times compelling travellers to take taxis. Not acceptable - i had a return ticket which i had to forfeit because of the lengthy queue for the completely inadequate bus service - 3 small single deckers per hour at prak periods!
The airport is small, which is fine, but there isn't very much gate seating. The biggest issue is it's dirty! Garbage is everywhere. The benches near the baggage claim are worn and stained. I've never thought of an airport as gross, but Seville is.
