Took the walking tour led by Leon Parris. He is a master orator and storyteller, entangling you in his words and the streets of Barcelona. Loved every minute. We had two children, 9 & 12, who adored his quirky character and masterful ensemble of the city’s history. A scholar and a gentlemen.

The best way to get to know the city!
The free walking tour is a great and comprehensive introduction to the history of Barcelona. Andy was an amazing guide that knew his history and transferred the knowledge with passion and humour!

Leon is a cheeky, engaging, walking history museum. His British humor, comedic timing, and choices of words were an absolute delight. Truly a wealth of information; when I stated the organism that caused the Black Plague, he followed it up with the characteristics of the bacteria. My microbiology professor would be so pleased. To end the tour, he recited the most incredible rhyming poem to document the history of Barcelona. I'd TOTALLY sign up for Professor Leon Parris' history classes.

Great tour! Leon was a fantastic guide and truly knows his stuff. A lot of great information while making it funny and entertaining, can’t get better than that. He works for you, you tell him what you want to check out or you can let him just show you around.
Tip what you think the tour was worth, but I can guarantee you this tour is better than any tour you have to pay for. Highly recommend!response / report this review -

Love Sandeman Free Walking Tours. Best way to ensure you get an interesting and informative tour. If you don’t, don’t pay. The Barcelona Free Walking Tour with Leon was absolutely fantastic.
Leon keeps it interesting and fast paced. He’s self-aware enough to know when he’s giving too much information and does a great job checking on the interest level of the group. Great sense of humor (love British humor) but really interesting and informative as well. Maybe not best for children as Leon’s language is adult only.
Fully recommend this tour. Great value and a great overview to start your Barcelona trip.response / report this review
