Excellent food, the Cochinillo melts in the mouth and is a must have. Service was good. Price was very reasonable and cheaper than I expected. This was my 3rd visit and I would happily go again, without hesitation.

What a little gem to find in the la Rioja region. Nice and central to tour the area. The family that runs the place is very kind and attentive, the son speaks English which is very helpful. There are only 5 rooms here so even when fully booked it is super quiet. It is an old castle converted, so it is full of charm, and kind of has a haunting feeling, which is actually really fun. The decor fits really well with the style, not overly modern aside from the important hotel features, showers bathroom fixtures etc. Breakfast is phenomenal with the family hanging out in the dining room to answer to your every need. Really great value! My only issue and why i can't give a full 5 stars, is because the room we stayed in had a pretty bad smell, probably from the shower drain, which had a plastic lid over to try and stop it. But being as this is an ancient building we were able to forgive that and just lived with it, weren't spending much time in the hotel over our 2 night stay. The town of Zarraton where it is located is pretty hard to find without a map, no signs whatsoever but it is totally worth the search.

An absolutely wonderful Inn. Only 4 rooms in this spacious, gorgeous Manor House. Stunning architecture and history go hand-in-hand here. It's the ultimate romantic spot. Only 6km's from Haro, and it's truly a breathtaking place. The owner and his wife are equally wonderful. Even with our limited english/spanish abilities, they were so gracious and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were given a personal tour and a history of the palacio.

As for the on-site restaurant, I was a little hesitant. I thought " In this tiny little village, the food can't be very good". Boy was I WRONG! I would argue the meal we had at the restaurant was the best we had in Rioja. It was simply fabulous. The owner is a former restauranteur. He must have stolen a top-notch chef from wherever, because the meal was fantastic. Beautifully prepared, wonderful sauces, and presented like a Michelin starred restaurant. I allowed the owner to choose a wine for us and he picked a wonderful, yet very affordable Rioja which paired very well with our meal.

I cannot say enough about this Palacio and its owners except to say I am sorry we were only able to stay one night. I will definitely be back there again for a longer stay!

Incredible accommodation and uber-excellent hosts. Close enough to Haro but secluded. We will be returning to this excellent place soon

Best accomodation in Rioja. Beautifully restored old villa, with immaculate attention to details. Best breakfast ever, over 5 continents. Excellent value for money. Wonderful hosts. Limited english, but he has Google translate. so funny and clever! Will plan to be back and have my wedding reunion here - one day. 10 minutes from most places, but must have car.
