Nice and shady, very welcome shade even in February after walking around in the sun in the Mercadillo street market up the road. Good chance to sit down in peaceful surroundings and give our feet a rest too!

A small shady park amid big blocks.
There is, up by Las Mesas, El Parque de los Niños - the children's park. This El Parque de los Abuelos is the grandparents' park. But it's a bit disappointing compared to other parks in Estepona.
It is, I suppose, nice to see any greenery when all around are large apartment blocks. And this is certainly green!
However, it is practically all green, with very few plantings of shrubs and flowers to bring more colour. Plus the children's play area - won't they be coming with Granny? - is very limited: just a small slide, in poor condition.
The big PLUS of this park, however, will be evident in summer.
Shade.
Because there are so many trees, it is a lovely shady spot when it gets too hot to stay in your apartment.
So come and enjoy it then!
