Excellent building, view, service, food. Good for events although it should be updated for professional events.

It was great. Most peaceful night in a week of travel from Barcelona, Alicante, Santiago. The best breakfast, too. And the tour of the facility was an unexpected perk. Perfectly located for easy walk into historic center of town.

Nice place with a lot of history. If tout love a place that has something to say this is definitely your go to hotel. The staff was also nice and the rooms big, beautiful and clean. Great place and great city. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and refreshing stay here after walking on the Camino from St. Jean Pied de Port. It's about 1km away from most of the other sights in Leon, but is quiet and peaceful. My husband and I also loved the history of this hotel, which is honored throughout. The breakfast was also worthwhile and part of the stay.

Stunning building, an absolute delight. The rooms however, attached to the rear, are getting ready for a refit.

A wonderful old building with accommodation attached. Typical Parador - old fashioned bedrooms but good size and quiet. The whole experience felt too institutional for me, and the breakfast room was like a barn.

With a higher priced parador you would expect better. Our first room had a smell like the 16th century chamber pot was full , also the bathroom sink would not drain, the 4 the floor has septic piping problem I would guess. The second room had problems with the TV the repair man came and replace the batteries. I would expect more from the location.
I would NOT recommend this parador I'm sorry to say, it's too big and unpredictable

It is a beautifully renovated monastery with a more modern annex. It has joined the Spanish Paradors, exquisite hotels spread across the country. If you can get a tour, or simply view the cloisters, it makes for an extra special stay!

The Parador of Leon is one of only two five star parador's in Spain. Set in the heart of the city the Parador is nothing short of stunning. As an old monastery it has a rich history both good and bad. What's important is that it is a living museum. All around the Parador are information plates recounting it's different histories. There are even tours for those who are interested. As always in every Parador the food, people, rooms and service are fantastic. This is a place not to miss.
