  Great place to eat with awesome views of the city. Excellent to just have a coffee or a drink as well.

  I did not stay at the hotel - only came for a drink. It is a spectacular setting. The whole place is very atmospheric, and so is the bar area. You can go on for a stroll around the castle. I assume this hotel would be excellent for business retreats, reunions, and a secluded stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

  Lovely place to stay on the way from the Coast to Madrid. The castel can tell you a lot about bloody wars and conflicts of the past and help to better understand some problems of today.
  So, good food and drinks and excellent friendly service completes an interesting experience sui generis.

  Beautifully appointed hill top castle with unusual features of Spanish Renaissance style. Dinner however slightly disappointing but made up by fabulois wines.

  great views, especially at night time.
  even could see some shooting stars at the room terrace.
  Staffs here can understand English of course, but they want to answer in Spanish.
  Dinner was good including wine.
  The restaurant itself is gorgeous.
  Parador de Jaén is the best choice.

  I love Paradores. Jaen is one of my favorite. Quiet location on top of mountain in city. Very good restaurant.

  Fantastic location with amazing views over Jaen and the surrounding countryside. Impressive conversion of part of the castle. Restaurant good but food and service could be better.

  Very picturesque. A tourist attraction in and of itself. Excellent dining room. On top of a large Hill so not close to any other amenities but easy to defend from moors.
