I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. The service was excellent. The chef came out and made suggestions but most important the food was excellent. Local scallops and squid were perfectly cooked but the octopus was one of the best I had. Others in the party had the hake fish and prime rib and were impressed. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed this place. Although pricier than some of the other places we eat it was well worth it.

Excellent food and atmosphere. So good I went twice in the one day. I would suggest visiting the bar as soon as you arrive in Portomarín, either to have lunch or to make a reservation for dinner. Great selection of meat, fish, desserts, wine and spirits and excellent value.

Excellent restaurant upstairs with a spectacular view over the water. It is small and intimate upstairs with modern decor and art. The waiter recommend the scallop entreé and it was delicious. It would be pricey but I highly recommend for a rewarding meal after a long day.

Had the most amazing meal tonight. grilled mixed veg and grilled octopus then black rice with squid. Outstanding flavours. The views are stunning too. Thank you for great service

The restaurant upstairs are noisy, the water pipe runs through downstairs, unless you enjoy it, perhaps stay in other Albergue.
The rooms are simple, bathroom is big, staff is less than helpful. Only took our money, didn't bother to show us where things are, or explain how the door works. As if they don't really care for pilgrims.
There's a new Albergue next door, looks way better.
The food in the restaurant was the only one open, it was nice food.
Breakfast and services was non existent. Good coffee, but, so does all the bar in Spain.response / report this review -

I've had to reduce this from a one to a two after our morning. The pilgrims were locked out of the entrance upstairs (the entrance we were guided through by staff earlier) and forced to walk out the back door into the unit alleyway. We were only able to access the restaurant through walking around the entire building for breakfast. The same RUDE behavior was there to great us.
Previous review: The rooms are amazing, but the attitude of the staff has been terrible! They were rude the entire time. We were completely ignored by 3 people while trying to check in. After 10 minutes someone finally asked us if we needed assistance. Getting food was just as difficult.response / report this review -

Great restaurant and location but the waiter on today is obviously having the worst Monday of his life as he is not just rude but in a mood the shade of thunder obnoxious, hostile, impatient and really doesn't want to be here, thus making the entire energy of the outside courtyard and it's patrons dreadful and not the place to relax after a 25km walk. Such a shame as the Galician hospitality has been nothing short of amazing so far!

They bring items for the table. If only one person on table you wont be able to eat all the food they bring. Best lentil soup I had in Spain was from here. Veal was also very good.

We reserved a table and we're there early, and then sat down and we're ignored. While looking at the menu and waiting for someone to take our order, after 15 minutes a waitress came and took my wife's menu, which she was looking at, to give it to a diner at a different table, who had already been served a drink. No apology, no reason. They may have a nice view, but their service was terrible. I have been to many restaurants in Spain and never been treated like that before. Stay away.

A great place, that can quickly become busy so if you are looking for a table with a view I recommend booking one quick!
The staff are incredibly friendly and are quick servicing tables and customers.
The decor is reminiscent of a Hard Rock Cafe with a Spanish touch.
This isn't a pilgrim themed food spot with the classic menu, and the options are more diverse than other places experienced along the Camino.
They have a good selection of meat and fish but once again vegetarians are minimally served with salads, grilled vegetables or vegetarian pizza.
Food is filling and tasty; not fine dining but certainly hits the spot after a decent days walk.
On a side note, toilets could do with being cleaned a bit more often. Overfilling bathroom bins.response / report this review -

Good place to go if staying in portomarin, let us eat there if finished in one hour as was reserved so would reccomend reservations. Food nice, good view
