Very good for families and solo travelers! Interesting exhibits in a very clear and clean layout with English captions. Great facilities too! Free entry after 2pm is a great addition too!

It's nice place. A classical museum with touches of modern (interactive) approach here and there. Going to real places (if you can) adds more to the experience, though.

Best History and Archeology museum I've ever visited ! It's really impressive how much we can learn about the world's, Spain's and the Mediterranean's History in there. I visited in 90mn because it was closing after but I advise you to take at least 2h, or even 3h to take your time. Free admission on Saturday afternoon !

Beautiful museum! And super interesting. It was renovated in 2014 and the result is impressive. But it is huge so plan ahead a chunck of time.

Amazing and interesting for anyone who likes history and archeology. Excellent visiting experience with rich information that suits experts and non experts alike. I usually get bored about such kind of topics but the excellent media, visuals, and writings made it a very smooth and interesting visit.

My type of museum. I usually get bored in museums but archaeology is right down my alley. They have a virtual reality cave tour. Dina sour bones. Human historical structures. Very well divided between time periods. Greece Egypt etc. Very nice

I highly recommend you to visit this place if you like history and artifacts in general. The museum is very modern and interactive too, you can play the little screens to make your visit even more interesting and enjoyable. The objects are chronologically or thematically arranged. The place is free to visit on Sundays otherwise you have to pay an admission.

Excellent exhibition on the evolution of man - although don't trust Google maps; it's on the other side of the library museum! Keep walking round the block ☺️ There's loads there as well, make sure you allow two days to do it all in time.

Wow! What an extensive collection! And it's free if you buy the annual Madrid museum pass, which also covers unlimited visits to the Prado and Reina Sofia and allows priority line access (no waiting! more visiting!). Covers every period of habitation in the Iberian peninsula in great depth from prehistory to the present. Depending upon you interests, plan between two and six hours.
