The architecture is amazing and the airport is huge. The directions and gates are well marked along with estimated transit times from current location to terminals. Our transit was 30 minutes including a train connecting terminals.
We grabbed an Iberian ham sandwich (baguette with Spanish olive oil) and it was amazing.response / report this review -

Service and movement through the airport is fairly quick here. The layout is simple enough to understand as well. A very clean airport all around, with some interesting design aspects. Not too gaudy, just modern enough. My first impression was good, and I wouldn’t mind transferring through this hub again or venturing into Madrid someday from here.

This Airport is humongous so you need to pay attention to all signs so you don't get lost. There is a small train transferring people from one terminal to the other so plan your boarding time accordingly, restrooms are clean, airport staff is very nice , welcoming and assertive. The airport
has a variety of stores from coffee shops, restaurants, duty free stores, fast food, vending machines and much more. Really one of the cleanest airports i have visited. A good experience so far.response / report this review -

Just came back from Spain 🇪🇸, beautiful country and the people are wonderful ❤, love everything about it. Airport is wonderful also just a heads up to everyone, there is a thief in the baggage 🧳 area, my sunglasses 👓 🕶 😎 were missing case still there. Not complaining hopefully someone can use them. For my i am just going to buy another pair,.

Official passport checkers could be less rude and entitled but that is quite common other than than everyone extremely friendly and helpful

Not a good airport! T-1 has a Very long walk to immigration and baggage areas..and you need to go up and down stairs (no escalator) with bags, and worse you won't find a toilet. And you don't see anyone that can help, even if it's your first time here, the information booth before immigration is not open either.

What a nightmare of an airport. Has anyone who works here ever heard of a cue? Check-in was atrocious and the gate was out of control. Like a mob of people that no one tried to organize. The very long line for passport control turned into complete anarchy and collapsed onto itself. Where were the staff? Why can't lines be controlled? By far the worst airport I have ever been to.

Wow! This is a huge airport! 5 minutes by train between T1-2-3 and T4 (after you get to the train, which takes another 10 minutes). Couldn't find the exit, very modest duty-free area and literally 10 minuted between section A and D in T1. I had to use GPS to find my way. Consider getting there a half of an hour earlier than planned. It's also full of people and there is no place to sit ( very limited number of restaurants ).

Madrid is the worst hub airport in Europe. Disgraceful wait times for baggage if you are in t4 (which amazingly is the newest! ). Long walks and even longer waits.

Enormous airport. Depending on the airlines and flight you will arrive and departure on different terminals. I strongly recommend if possible, staying at one of the nearby hotels a day before travelling, Ibis is pretty good.
Incredibly crowded, specially if you travel on the economy class of Iberia. And yes, you are probably going to have a hard time if you don't speak spanish. Still, insist if you need any sort of help, sometimes there are fellow travellers that might help you with that!response / report this review
